If you look at the overall bans in standard over the past couple years, it is easy to see that WOTC cares less about card design that impact standard. Most of this is simply due to the impact of Commander being the most popular format. First off the need to quit printing universes beyond in standard. Especially because most card design favors the commander format.

If you look at the jpg with your white collection the banishing light is still dark. Even though there are 4 diamonds, this means that you have a playset from different sets. But because the card art is still dark you have not yet collected a copy of it from EOE.

There are some exceptions to this like the big score cards from Thunder Junction. They were originally suppose to be a sub-set like Aftermath was and are all new cards, not reprints. Extra sheet cards like the Through the Ages from final fantasy or the Stellar Sights from EoE. Those extra sheet cards are reprints and often not standard legal.
