I actually REALLY love the power level of historic pauper. Its such a fun middle ground of accessable on the arena client without some of the big power level of paper pauper needing to deal with an entire historic of common. Additionally some of the alchemy based cards REALLY do add something to historic pauper. I can currently only find matches with either my friend, or third party like discord as a result of the skewed power level when in the play queue.
I would be absolutely overjoyed to one day see historic pauper as a main line play blade format.I like artisan - i really do. But the addition of the uncommons start to muddy the water and in some cases make the power level way too strong and actually LESS supportive of different decks and hurt deck building creativity, as a result of most decks being absurdly close to their historic normal counterparts such in the case of Izzet wizards.
But i would take either hoenstly. I really really enjoy the accessability and find its a great way to get people into the game to eventually want to try their same deck (pauper) as a main play blade deck. This was the case for my mono green deck at least. So i really dont think it hurts economy of rare and mythic rare purchases either.
