    I reported a similar bug days ago and I thought it was by chance, but apparently it is not. Again I faced in standard event someone running this time a LOT of illegal cards (see the screenshots). It seems some players are aware of the issue and are abusing it. (all these cards seem to have the MTG arena symbol).

    I noticed that when attempting to make a deck with those cards the game allows it for standard but NOT for traditional standard. Also note that the card itself does not need to have the Arena symbol but as long as it has a version with that symbol it works. (I checked this as deck construction + I faced another opponent using an M19 card after the game I realized it does indeed have a version with the Arena symbol)
