Yeah, you can all just give up. I just got a ban because of what I wrote here before. Obviously behavior that is meant to discourage Ugin use is met with a ban. The game is dead for me now. Wizards should be ashamed of themselfs for giving a **** about their once great product by creating completly unbalanced overpowered cards, and then when they get backlash from the playerbase after not banning or changing the card stoop so low and sanction players acting against it. For anyone who still has hopes for this game I wish you good luck. You will need it. Stuff like that will only get worse when they cant even own up a mistake they made.
I'm out. Enough other games to play were there isn't a "I win"-card

Well, best way to play against it is by doing eye for an eye. Take the fun from the players who use it. They dont care that they take away the fun from other players aswell. But dont do that by using Ugin yourself, that makes you part of the problem. Do it like me and stall every turn to oblivion. I had games when Ugin hit that he could have theoreticly won in a minute, but it took him like half an hour because of stalling.
This way you not only make them bleed for their victory, but also since it takes them that much time, they cant take the fun of other people in that time by playing more matches. I call that "The Ugin Treatment".

Sorry to bring this to you. But after so much time and people complaining about Ugin, it's quiet obvious that they not gonna ban it. It's probably some Mary Sue of one of the higher ups.

Ugin is just absurd and broken. Ban Ugin, but please ban whoever is responsible for creating it and allowing it as a viable card in the first place too. Cause s/he is responsible for killing hundreds of hours of fun for thausends of people since the card came out.

I have to totally agree with stopbreedingnow#42667. It's like they dont know what they are doing or just dont care. Which gives you cards like Ugin or Tibalt Trickery. It's like with pc games these days, the players are the actual playtesters, only that with PC games they usually dont take a couple of month to do repair something that is obviously broken and sometimes even apologise for something that was obviously botched. I used to be a diehard MTG player 20 years ago. Today I only play it out of nostalgia and because I dont have to pay anything for it.

While I agree that it can be a lot of fun it also gives birth to absolutly absurd combos. But since noone forces you to play in Historic Brawl I guess I would be okay with that.

Sorry, but if you realy played Magic for 20 years you would know that milling has always been a part of MTG. So it's not anti-magic style at all. Look at the Mill Stone for example. The only thing that happened is that thanks to Powercreep they have gotten stronger and stronger until now they are borderlining ridiculous. But the same goes for other cards aswell. When I started you for xample gained an 8/8 green creature with trample for 2GGGG and had to pay an additional 4 green mana each upkeep or you take 8 damage. Today you get cards like th Rampaging Prontodon wich is basicly a 14+/14+ creature with trample for a one time payment of 5GG or stuff like the Elder Gargaroth.
So, since Powercreep is a (horrible) reality it's only fair that milling cards do the same.
