To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback

Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.



Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Example: Shivan Dragon doesn’t work

Choose the Category that describes your problem.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down
You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  1. Merge old DCI account history with Companion user

    Add the history matches of DCI account to Companion. Add the possibility to add one DCI number each Wizars account.

  2. My own Commander’s Damage

    Since one’s own Commanders can deal damage to themself, you should have it so there’s enough counters to include their own Commander! If 4 players, there should be 4 commander damage counters for each player.

    Add dates to my events on home tab. Avoids confusion when there are many events with same name and time.

  4. No Historic in card search

    It would be great if we could lookup cards that are in historic for when we're deck building away from the computer.

    Is this for a friendly event managed using Companion or an in-store event managed on the Wizards EventLink software?

  6. Ability to add deck name when joining event

    Compounding with the already popular idea to have tournament information, the ability to show your deck/players decks for data reasons would be nice

  7. Unable to Report a Bug Through App

    So, I have two problems and one suggestion, itemized below.

    Problem 1: In an effort to test the "search" function, I typed in "retribution", which got 11 results. One of these was Dorothea, Vengeful Victim, which didn't actually have the word in its title. When I clicked on the card, I saw two versions, the alt-art monochrome, and the original. But when I checked the oracle text, one of them (the regular art one) had the text for Dorothea's Retribution instead. It was obviously intended to show the back face of the card rather than just a different art. I'm…

  8. Card database

    The card database on the app I downloaded will not give any results when searching for a specific sub type (ie Dragon) even when using the advanced search

  10. Add Deck Builder/Deck List

    Hello,

    I think a great update for the companion app would be, in i can give my decklist not in paper but in the app.

    Im a Player who has three diffrent prowess decks for modern. I would like to have my decklists in the app, so i can do little changes easily at my lgs before i check in for a tournament.

  11. Some Data not up to date or incorrect

    When looking up a card (Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon) I noticed that the Phyrexian type hasn’t been added to creatures that haven’t been printed since Kaldheim was released. Among those that have, Phyrexian isn’t capitalized like presumably every other creature type is. 218 creatures have incorrect typing in this way.

    Whenever I look at Gatherer from my phone there’s a pop-up telling me my experience will be better with the app, but as deprecated and clunky as the technology is used for Gatherer it at least works. Scrolling down I see there are other reported issues with Oracled creature types…

  12. Leaving tournaments

    I recently played in event at my LGS and they couldn’t add someone after the tournament had started so they created a new one. I was unable to leave the event I was already in to join the new event.
    So so I think there needs to be a leave tournament option on the app.

  13. Color Identity vs color

    Enable us, both on Companion and in Gatherer, to search using Color Identity, not just a card’s color.
    It would be very useful to get rid of cards that wouldn’t be effective in decks we’re searching for. Especially, but not exclusively, commanders.

  14. Incorrect oracle text on companion for tarfire

    Tarfire oracle text should say any target rather than target creature or player. I confirmed this on gatherer.

  15. Add Day/Night Tracker to Life Total Tracking Screen

    With the release of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, and the prevalence of the Daybound/Nightbound mechanic, it would be nice if the Life Tracker in Companion had an option to enable a Day/Night Tracker that shows up near the middle, allowing players around the table to easily see if it's day or night.

  16. in the same pod, when I draft with my sons at an lgs we are always in the same pod beside each other & often play one another. We hate this

    Don’t automatically put us together in the same pod or make us play one another every time. Don’t know if the issue is caused by registering at the same time or alphabetically

  17. Search not displaying a few cards

    Searched for “sword of” and Sword of Body and Mind did not appear, much to my confusion.
    Also, searched for Creature + Eldrazi + Modern + Colorless + CMC 10-10+ and Ulamog, Ceaseless Hunger did not appear, nor did Emrakul, Promised End.

  18. Tag/Bookmark

    I would like to be able to tag cards that I am interested in. That way if I am looking for a new deck I don't need to redo the search.

  19. Mill Oracle Text

    In the card database I noticed the Oracle text for cards does not include the updated ruling for Mill. So cards such as Millstone do not have the most recent rulings.

  20. Ban flags as card sleeves

    There are card sleeves with flags as decoration. I think in the actual situation it would be a good statement of Wizzards of the coast to ban every flag card sleeve. Magic is not a political game. I would not like to see anymore flag sleeves. Not now, not in the future. Thank you very much for your attention.
