An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedI've only seen this a few times but it does occur. Happens immediately after firing the ballista and grounding Icewind. Instead of flying again and destroying the ballista, she simply stays on the ground and blasts you with ice breath until you die/wipe. Playing on PS4.

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedThe matchmaking isn't great at any point. I've been kicked at level 1 for being too low and at level 20 for being to high. Its not really practical in any scenario, unless you're trying to power level with a friend.
While I don't object to the kick mechanic (party leader decides), I find myself spending many minutes simply looking for a suitable party, often giving up and logging out before I ever find one.
It's not all about kicking either. The matchmaking is just kind of broken in general. If we had the option to either match with similarly ranked players or players above a certain power level it would save a lot of time.
Also, why is there a "friend" session and an "invite" session if there's no way to actively join your friends? You can only do this by receiving an invite, as far as I can tell (ps4). Cannot test this further however, as all of my friends have quit playing. Hence my matchmaking issues.

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedThis is why the latest update (1.05) was a major letdown. I would have taken any of these over what we got. Not only did I pay to be a game tester, the patches don't even address virtually any of the tester feedback. I went from being an enthusiastic gamer to a disgruntled employee before I even got my first paycheck!
My friends have already abandoned this game and now openly mock me for sticking with it. I'm pulling for you guys. I want you to turn it around. I want to stick with it. The pieces are there. Just give us something encouraging. Anything...

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedI can verify. The mission is called The Hunting Grounds and is act 1 of the Fury of Icewind. After you activate the second runesword the door opens at the Spire of Kelvin. The loot chest is to left of the door, next to a tree. Loot sometimes lands on the ground to be picked up but will more often than not fall through the ground. You can see the beam of light coming out of the ground but not the item itself and there is no option to pick it up. Note the green beam in front of the chest in my photo. This is a weapon that has fallen through the ground after opening the chest.

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedYou should be allowed to re-spec your attribute points if nothing else. With inventory and money being dedicated to each character, it's crazy that the decisions you make at level 1 are set in stone. You can create a new (same) character, yes, but you likely won't get the same gear because it isn't shared among characters. Rather than running multiple characters with their own stats, crystals, gold, and gear, why not just make the attribute points adjustable?

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedA ring on the ground indicating the range of specific enemy AOE attacks would be nice. Similar to the exploding barrels. I often evade a large telegraphed attack thinking I'm out of range, only to get killed by it. I find the enemy AOEs to be the worst in this regard. Perhaps it's me and I need to do better (I know I can improve) but I think this issue is where a lot of the cheapness comes from. Dying in games is almost always annoying but there's a fine line between challenge and cheapness. When a game is challenging you feel at fault and try to do better. When a game is cheap it's only frustrating.

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedI think I understand the intent (more challenge/better AI) but I would say the latest update ultimately hurts the experience. I was just getting good enough to solo most content for rank 5 gear and that's now either out of the question or not really worth the effort, due to the RNG of it all. While I can certainly appreciate the push towards group play, I've found that the matchmaking isn't great and it's often difficult to find sessions at all. My multiplayer experience often alternates between getting paired with someone level 1 looking get carried and getting the "failed to find session" error message after waiting several minutes. I'm now having frequent and extended periods of zero progress, which ultimately feels like a waste of time. I'm actually less inclined to play after 1.05 as a result. I basically went from being able to squeeze something out of it, despite it's flaws, to getting nothing out of it at all.

An error occurred while saving the comment Drizaxle#44473 commentedSorry to hear that fatty... I stopped getting legendary gear once I hit level 20. I've done the final boss now maybe 30 times since hitting level 20 and I've yet to see a yellow drop. Was getting one maybe every 2-3 attempts prior to hitting level 20. The well has dried up, apparently.

Basically everything needs polish. The whole game is undercooked. It feels rushed and completely untested. While I agree with everything posted above, I would say the priority for me would be the overall combat experience. While the AI is undeniably atrocious and some tweaks can be made to character resource management, it's the combat that hurts the game the most. The camera zoom nonsense is inexcusable. We absolutely need to target enemies and be aware of incoming attacks in order for this to work on any level. Most deaths feel cheap and undeserved. I can overlook many flaws if the basic gameplay mechanic is fun. This is not fun.Drizaxle#44473 supported this idea ·
Agreed. Sitting on 3.5M gold and over 300 legendary shards and nothing to do with them. Since you can't share anything between characters and multuple layers of RNG sucks the life out of gear grinding, why not enable some respec options or provide a means to actually get a specific item you need, even if the price is high? Feel like I'm rich and have nothing to spend money on. Can't respec attributes. Can't roll on gear stats. Can't progress solo anymore (since patch). Can't reliably play with strangers due to poor matchmaking. Would love a legendary weapon to complete my set. Would love to still play. No reason to. Waiting for patches...
