    I know, that it's not a solution, but a potential workaround. I uninstalled and then installed MTG Arena again. Then it worked for me.

    But my friend had an similar problem (after a subission of a dec wasn't possible and he had connection problems and he pressed the reconnect button on the "Lost connection" ingame screen), where when someone sends him a chellange the chat box for a chellange pops up two times and regardless which box he accepts it stated that the challenge was cancelled. Here the work around wasn't tested yet.
