I have 29 lands in a deck of less than 70 cards (68 iirc), yet often am found stuck at two lands played in like turn 8 or 9, thus handing the opponent an unfair advantage. The shuffle algo needs work.

They 're greedy indeed, I see this in my match results. I have never bought anything that costs real money in this game and, coincidentially, I pretty much always lose to players who obviously have bought something. It isn't just this, the way I lose those matches is always the same: whatever card I play, my opponent has immediately exactly the right card to cancel it. When this happens with like ten cards in a row, it cannot be a coincidence. Also, just now I was playing a draft event, where the game forced me into a completely dysfunctional five-colour deck. This, paired with those pay-to-win opponents, ruined the event for me. One has to wonder why WOTC won't let each player choose what colour(s) they want to draft from, so that each player can have an at least somewhat functional deck, which would be a good step toward fairer draft events. But again, the bigger problem is the deliberate imparity between players who buy cosmetics or whatever with real money and players who don't. This probably explains why I sometimes have to wait for more than a minute before finding an online opponent: this game is probably losing players. These long waits were not a thing during my first month or so in the game. Can't be a coincidence.

Most decks I encounter have some sort of loop in them. I know I could just craft some of the looping cards and get pretty much automatic wins, but what 's the point of the game then? Regarding the idea of buying cards, it was ridiculous altogether. I 've never bought a single pack, and it 's not because I 'm "broke". The reason I downloaded MTG Arena is that I had the 2014 demo on PS3, but all I can do here is defend against WOTC's pay-to-win practices. I don't know how much more patience I 'm willing to make for something better. Greed is a bad advisor, this much is for sure.

I was playing Alchemy ranked on PC. Whereas I didn't notice any card rendering me unable to block, from a point and on I could not block. Not sure exactly which point this was, but definitely after I had summoned my planeswalker. If there 's a card that renders players unable to block, it is way too OP even for the latest standards of the game. Else it was a bug. I sure enough did have the creatures to block had I been given the option.

Here I am again, just a few days after posting my previous comment. I made the foolish mistake to play online again and had a match where I was stuck at three lands, constantly being forced to discard down to seven because the nonland cards in my hand were either too expensive or noncreatures, while my opponent had the comfort to play eight lands. Funny how the game asked me whether I had fun in the match. Yeah, sure, it was great fun being blatantly forced to lose to a worse opponent just because they fed WOTC's ******* greed and I didn't. Well, I 'm still not going to feed their greed. I demand respect. Period.
