As a magic player since 1995 I PRIDE myself on my ability to remember how to the cards work and have a clear understanding of the history of the game. To get an understanding on the card and then having to relearn it is absurd. That is not how we think. Having oracle changes due to rules update is totally fine - that’s what we love about the game with the clear computer science based structure of the rules and the concept of the stack. Changing text on cards or manacost is absurd and a direction us longtime players frown upon. I still love the textless Cryptic command.
Historic has already evolved into a competitive and interesting eternal format with a lot of untapped potential. Everybody knows that legacy is the best magic format - it is nice to have a modern digital counterpart that we (almost) can afford to play.
An eternal format will continue to evolve with new cards, while still having clear archetypes assembled.Several players have spent years and money trying to earn a collection to participate in the historic metagame. Having these Alchemy cards is an atrocious design decision. This destroys the aesthetic and nostalgic feeling of the game.
Magic players do not want to play Hearthstone on arena. If we wanted that we would play hearthstone. It is way more popular as well.
To create a digital format with nerfed/buffed/changed cards is a fine way to fix the dull standard, but perhaps you should think of the structure of standard instead of creating this monstrosity?
Maybe you could also test it be implementing a historic alchemy queue as well? Then you can test out if your player base want's this new revamped version of the best game in the world.
(Probably wont be that popular. We like Oko because he is broken and banned. We don’t want him fixed by reworks.)#leavehistoricalone

Can we still stop nerfing cards so we don't have to reread them? and just skip the stupid alchemy cards. give them their own format
