Individual cards are never sold in the store, only card styles (i.e. cosmetics). You need to first own the card (either by opening in a booster pack, or by crafting with a wildcard) in order to use the card style.

Note: there is a red warning displayed at the bottom of the screen when you attempt to buy a card style for a card that you don't own.

One of their creatures is equipped with Pact Weapon, which states that "As long as this Equipment is attached to a creature, you don't lose the game for having 0 or less life.". See https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=563022

Make sure you read the cards :)

There's lots of reasons someone can have an infinite hand size (i.e. not be forced to discard back down to 7 cards during their end step) — and lots of these are commonly played in decks with Peer of the Abyss. For example, Reliquary Tower (https://gatherer.wizards.com/pages/card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=519346)

This happens intermittently, and appears to be tied to the region you're connecting from (i.e. the Wizards servers temporarily reject connections from clients in specific countries) — this is why you'll get the same issue on different devices too.

A simple workaround is to use a VPN (which allows you to connect to the internet via servers in a different country), then the issue will instantly disappear.

The 'protection' mechanic only actually provides protection against a specific set of actions: Damage, Enchanting/Equipping, Blocking, and Targeting (DEBT). See https://draftsim.com/mtg-protection/

Therefore, even with protection against sorceries, note that certain types of sorceries that don't meet those conditions will still get through — such as Wrath of God, as this isn't dealing damage to or targeting any of your permanents. To protect against board wipes like this, you might consider playing something like Avacyn instead (https://scryfall.com/card/cmm/14/avacyn-angel-of-hope)
