An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commentedFor Play Boosters (the booster type used for drafts), there is a 1/8 chance that a common card is replaced by a card from "The List", a specially curated set of cards from throughout MTG History.
For Murders at Karlov Manor, one of the cards on The List is Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Your opponent wasn't cheating -- they just got lucky to open it.
You can see more information (and a full list of List cards) at https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/announcements/whats-new-on-the-list-for-murders-at-karlov-manor

An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commented"Attacked" as a verb always specifically means "declared during attack step".
The specific relevant rule here is 508.4, which states:
"508.4. If a creature is put onto the battlefield attacking, its controller chooses which defending player, planeswalker a defending player controls, or battle a defending player protects it’s attacking as it enters the battlefield (unless the effect that put it onto the battlefield specifies what it’s attacking). Similarly, if an effect states that a creature is attacking, its controller chooses which defending player, planeswalker a defending player controls, or battle a defending player protects it’s attacking (unless the effect has already specified). Such creatures are “attacking” but, for the purposes of trigger events and effects, they never “attacked.” "

An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commentedAs an addendum, I had a similar issue with the trigger of Faramir, Field Commander.
When I drew the Flash Samwise (with the mana to cast it) from it at the end of my turn, I wasn't given priority to cast Samwise.
An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commentedThis occurred during a draft match. Opponent was on 3 life, and I had Denethor, Ruling Steward in play along with 2 other creatures and 6 untapped mana.
During my second main phase I sacrificed both other creatures to Denethor's ability, at which point the game moved to Endstep (since I had no other spells to cast/abilities to activate).
At the beginning of the endstep, Denethor's ability went on the stack and created a token. However, I was not given priority to sacrifice the token before my opponent untapped despite having 2 open mana and Denethor in play.

An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commentedThe wording of Warbeast is:
"Whenever Warbeast of Gorgoroth or another creature you control with power 4 or greater dies, amass Orcs 2. "
The "power 4 or greater" clause only applies to the "another creature". Warbeast itself will always amass whether or not it has 4 power.

An error occurred while saving the comment Muggle_of_the_Coast#19144 commentedIf you just played Mutavault, this is working as intended.
When you animate Mutavault, it becomes a creature. And a creature that was just played can't activate ANY of its abilities (including mana abilities) until your next turn.
Hard to say without a screenshot, but one way this could be happening is if opponent also had a Soul-Scar Mage in play.
The Soul-Scar Mage would replace the damage from the Flame of Anor by -1/-1 counters, meaning that Obliterator wouldn't take damage and opponent wouldn't have to sacrifice permanents.
