I played a game using the "Play" option which I believe is unranked. However, after losing a match, it looked as if I lost rank and then after wining another one I lost another rank.

Ive had this same problem as have numerous others, its been reported by many people, yet Wizards has not responded, I cant enjoy the game when I cant even mess around with a new deck in free play without losing rank from my rank play standings

Have now won 2 games in traditional standard. First time I got ranked down 2 places, second time I just remained at the same spot...have contacted Wizards...they cant/wont do anything, so MTG Arena has started to loose all credability....I guess if I keep up the good work I will reach bronce level soon!!!

I was playing Traditional Standard Ranked, lost a match, received the ranked progress loss (-2 ticks in Plat 3) and then didn't notice and just hit play again. Instead of remembering my last play queue (Traditional Standard Ranked) it defaulted back to just "Play." Without realizing it, I queued up again, lost in game 1 (expecting it to go to sideboarding) and it showed me losing Rank again. I was confused but thought maybe I just forgot about game 1 and that was actually game 2? Queued up again, won game 1, and saw the same thing again, me losing 2 ticks in Plat 3. I then realized that it was showing me the same progress loss over and over again, regardless of win or loss, while queueing in the "Play" queue. It's already frustrating that it won't remember your last queue and defaults back to "Play", but showing the ranked progress loss over and over is clearly a bug.

Won my second match in the current standard event (10/19), but immediately after winning I lost a pip. I checked my profile to confirm the pip had been lost and sure enough, it had ticked down. Anyway to get this fixed/restored? I know it's not a huge issue, but I'm hesitant to keep playing now that I know this is a possibility...

I played a best of 1 standard with a friend and afterwards it showed my constructed rank go down a notch.
EDIT: It seems to show this everytime but always goes from 3 to 2. Visual bug?

There is no problem with the ranks, they aren't affected by this "bug". We're just getting a rank adjustment animation we shouldn't be seeing. It looks like MTGA enthusiastically wants to show your new rank after every game but then realizes you were playing unranked so it removes the adjustment that it wasn't supposed to do in the first place. It's kind of annoying but certainly not a top priority.

I didn't get to screenshot the Victory screen but I watched as 2 orange bars disappeared one by one

So I was playing the "Explore Zendikar" event, and my opponent conceded. i then saw the rank tracker feature decrease my rank, which should only happen when I LOSE RANKED matches, not WIN CASUAL ones. Thanks in advance for your help!

maybe fix your rank so when you win it goes up like should not down like you lost

This has happened to me three times in the last week.

Happens to me too
The solution is quite simple.
I stopped playing ranked. The other solution is to stop winning.

Dear MTG Team, I also just won a Bo3 match 2-0 and lost 1 Rank instead of gaining 2. To make matters worse I was two pips away from Mythic. Please be so kind to follow up on this issue.
Until now I had already been affected by this bug when I was playing unranked Play and lost ranks (even in friendly matches). This is the first time it happened in Ranked. -
