Going from 6 emotes to 5 emotes in the profile tab can prevent using emotes in game.
Steps to reproduce:
Have six expansion unique emotes toggled on for your profile.
Enter any game of magic arena and navigate to the lone expansion emote on it's own page. (as opposed to the other five expansion emotes grouped together.)
Complete the game. Whether you use the emote or close the in game emote tab or leave the in game emote tab open at this time does not matter.
Navigate to the profile tab, then to emotes. Here You can add or remove emotes that can be used in game. Deselect any one of the six expansion emotes and confirm.
Enter any magic game on arena. You are no longer able to emote.
When the arena client enters a game it "remembers" whichever emote page you left off in from the previous game. Thus it tries to load the (now empty) emote page, preventing you from emoting.
To solve this issue you must re-enable the sixth emote, and navigate to a new emote page while in game. Then You can remove whichever emotes you don't want to use.
