This just happened twice to me in the same game.

The first time I activated the ability at the end of my opponent's turn taking Mikaeus from a 4/4 down to a 3/3. In response, my opponent cast Abrade. The Abrade did 3 damage to my 3/3 Mikaeus. It died, and when the ability resolved zero +1/+1 counters were added to my creatures.

The second time, I had brought back Mikaeus the previous turn with Lurrus. It was a 1/1. I activated the ability to give my other creatures +1/+1 counters. Mikaeus died as it became a 0/0, and no counters were added to my creatures.

This cost me a match in arena cube.

Looks like this glitch has been around for several weeks, you guys need to do something about it.

Can confirm, just had this happen to me. Was just playing a game with a friend, so no real consequences, but it was a little annoying.

I've experienced the same bug. Didn't affect any matches, but very annoying.

Just had this happen to me. I assume there is some weird interaction happening in the client since I haven't seen anyone else reporting this bug.
