Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

Leaving the concept of 'should we create digital alters of paper cards for our cardgame' on the side. the fact that Alchemy is introduced as its own format, sure, why not. some people will love it, some will hate it, as with every format.
But why was there a need to severely impact the only existing 'eternal' format with these changes. This is a dumb decision stemming from a line of dumb decisions this company seems to have been making over the last few years.
Write your PR article about how this was a mistake and how it surely won't happen again, and revert these dumb changes.
Thanks.

I don't want to play Arena if you're going ensure whatever new product you need to sell before Xmas season has to affect everything else.

You want to introduce a new format? Fine. This shouldn't be to the detriment of existing formats though.

Digital only cards and digital only errata do not belong in MTG. If I have a paper card, that card should be the same in Arena, MTGO, and paper. There should not be a digital only format and digital only balance changes. MTG is one game, and separating the digital from paper makes the digital completely undesirable. I will no longer use the Arena application and will be uninstalling it from my devices.
MTG should be MTG. It shouldn’t try to copy Hearthstone, Runeterra, and other digital card games.

One of the biggest strengths Magic has is that it guarantees that the cards I get will forever stay as the cards I get. I do not need to fear that next day my favorite card will be changed, or nerfed like in other digital card games. Magic Arena does not need to be like those other games. It needs to be like Magic. If you cannot be confident in your product, and imitate others, what is there you have to offer that is not already out there?
Please stay Magic. This is the thing we all love and are passionate about. Do not strip its identity away to be like others, and know your own product's strengths.
Thank you.

I don't intend to play a game that makes unilateral changes without any considerations to their players decisions of their game resources use.

I've played/spent enough to have an almost full collection and I will not make any further transactions until the Historic related alchemy changes are reverted. Players need a little faith that their digital collections will retain personal value and this change clouds that.

If you want the alchemy format to exist, fine. Do it. But stay out of historic. And do more internal playtesting. And add more play tiers in Arena, one is not enough!

Also considering that you greedy incompetents will NOT grant a proper wildcard compensation for cards rebalancing.
If you want to be a digital card-game, then give us a dusting system.
In the meantime, I'll spend my money on Legends of Runeterra.

Historic was doing okay without those online exclusive cards, then HH happened and it got a little worse, but alchemy is just going to ruin Historic forever, what's worse, WotC doesn't seem to even care.

I draft standard and play non-rotating eternal formats. Works for me
In paper. I spend money on Draft every set. Not really interested if there is not a constructed format to play. Leaving over this change. -

Leave Historic and Historic Brawl alone. Eternal format is eternal format.
Make Alchemy and Alchemy Brawl separately. Nerf/buff everything every day/week/month roller coaster if you so chose to.
Let the paying customers chose.

I love this game, but I am not spending a single cent more until you fix this economy of the game and leave my older formats alone

If I wanted to play Hearthstone, I’d play Hearthstone. At least I can disenchant cards in that game.

I’ve played magic off and on since 2005 and up to the release of alchemy, I’ve been a pay to play player on arena each set. I will never give wizards another dollar if you continue to stand behind this ****.

I don't really feel like playing Magic / Arena anymore now some dev has cast fork on the entire game. Releases are following eachother close enough as is; I really can't be bothered to invest time in these new cards. I am very dissapointed. I have been playing since ' 95 and Arena since beta. I guess I get to spend my time elsewhere.

An Alchemy historic with digital only cards separate from a historic format that could theoretically be played in paper would be great, but I don't like having cards changed and no other option to play them.

Alchemy should be its own self contained format and it’s changes should not affect historic. You are further diving the player base with digital only cards and erratas. You are also ruining the only eternal format on the platform. You should honestly push to remove digital cards and make historic playable in paper.

If you wanted to push the changes in Alchemy onto historic, then you should have prioritized giving us Pioneer on Arena first. Now you're messing with the only "eternal" format on the platform

I would be okay with Alchemy if you could opt out of it for formats like historic/historic brawl. If it’s possible to split the standard queues it should also be reasonable to do it for historic. I imagine you will have more than enough players to support all of those formats.
