Please keep Alchemy separate from Historic!

please leave historic alone, clearly you're not going to be implementing pioneer, so let us have historic without alchemy effecting how we play it

dividing historic into paper historic (i.e. only paper cards as printed) and new, digital historic (with digital only and errated cards) seems like best way to satisfy all players

Please keep Historic completely separate from Alchemy. This is a terrible decision that will result in users leaving your platform for good. I came back to MTG via Arena after a 10+ year hiatus and this would ruin the experience for me.

Please leave historic alone. Haven’t you done enough by causing the client to crash every release? Do you have to also nerf goldspan? Hearthstone looks fun. If I don’t pay for arena I could do more drugs. Or buy a house.

I have no problem whatsoever with Alchemy and will certainly try it out, but please don’t sideswipe historic for no good reason!

I like arena because it allows me to enjoy a better version of the paper experience. Fueling the format with digital only card is really awful. Please stop doing it.

This is a bait and switch! You are changing to game concept from when it was initially deployed to something entirely different! I want all my money refunded! #leavehistoricalone

Alchemy is a completely different format from Historic, so tying card adjustments together so they effect both formats makes no sense. Historic doesn't need the same adjustments to be a healthy format as Alchemy will. #LeaveHistoricAlone! Or if you must, you need separate balance teams assessing adjustments for historic, but all adjustments for Alchemy should not automatically apply to historic. At a bare minimum, please introduce a Pioneer-like format to Arena, even if all the Pioneer sets/cards aren't going to exist in Arena, there should be a format that has all of and ONLY the paper cards, and exactly as they were when first released on Arena. We should get to enjoy our old standard cards in a format that only contains old standard cards, plus things like Historic Anthology, but not things like Jumpstart Historic Horizons or Alchemy cards that never existed in paper.

No reason to tie historic to an experimental standard format.

Even though I like the idea of Alchemy, please leave Historic alone

Historic should remain Arena's eternal format, unaffected by Alchemy. Historic is a fantastic way to enjoy or test out paper Magic before buying for Modern or Legacy, and having Alchemy affect Historic will ruin that experience.

My main reason for playing Arena is the cards are 1:1 what they are in paper. I have zero interest in cards that will be changing. If you have to do an Historic Classic with unaltered cards and no digital only cards, I would keep on playing. As it stands now, I'm going to stop spending money on Arena, and will probably stop playing Magic entirely.
