Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

Nerfing cards has two problems
1. It's confusing to have two different cards with the same name.
2. The card I spent a wildcard on has just been taken away and I've been given an unplayable card. With no compensation. Give me my fricken wildcards back for nerfed cards. -

4 Months, and I still haven't logged back in.
How many others have done the same?

from what i can tell you guys said something about how you would not simply bring back a non-alchemy historic alongside alchemy historic because it would just be 2 formats that are slight tweaks of each other and instead are opting to try something else. As far as i'm concerned, introducing alchemy to historic to begin with is the slight tweak that never should have occurred and you should try something else with alchemy and just return historic to its former glory. thats what everyone who stopped playing because of alchemy in historic wants wants, not for it to remain the pollutant and for us to have to migrate to some other new ruleset that from what you are saying isn't going to be the same, thats dumb, just give me back the true to tabletop historic i started playing and spent money for and i'll start playing and spending money again. why is that not the easy solution to everything

Same is true for standard! Why Säckingen the format with some "Addition Cards" which destroy the Standard feeling!

Either keep alchemy changes separate from Historic Brawl or give us wildcards for these cards, since some of us crafted them for Historic Brawl decks. This type of decision making is driving more casual players away from the game since they would rather go play commander then deal with this confusing and poorly implemented change.

I like Alchemy a lot.
But Historic should not have nerfed card. For two reasons:- eternal format are supposed to be, well... eternal! The whole point is that people can spent money/wildcard building strong decks, that will be viable for eternity. If cards keep being nerfed, it breaks this pattern. (I know bans already break this pattern, but that's why WotC was careful with bans in eternal format; usually just banning new cards that broke the format, rather than old stapples)
- more importantly: historic power level is WAY above standard/alchemy. It makes ZERO sense that a card nerfed in Alchemy would be even remotely playable in Historic!

In the new state of the game you have announced that you intend to add a true non rotating format to Arena. I am happy to hear this as I have stopped playing (and paying) until there is one. Please keep the community updated on this as I know may people feel the same way I do.
Thank you

I haven't played Magic since last year, and it's WotC's stupid fault.
They've made it not worth playing.
ESPECIALLY since they've decided to unban Teferi, Time Raveler.
WotC has literally ZERO clue how shit they have made things.
I literally do not care anymore.

I think Alchemy is fine. It's a good way to leverage digital technique and add more to the game and give Arena its own corner.
But I do agree it should be in its own world and not interfere with any other format before or after it. If it's designed to update and modify rather than ban, there probably would be no need to make any other format on its own line anyway.

Arena needs a non-rotating non-digital format, split historic into regular/alchemy or just remove alchemy and digital-only cards from historic.

Historic should be timeless and should be left alone. Rebalances to Alchemy doesn't conform to the format's needs. If anything, it makes the format inaccessible and makes me want to stop investing time or money due to the lack of security that my cards will be usable in the future.

Leave Historic as an eternal format or refund the alchemy wildcards. You nerfed Lier to the point it's unusable even thought it was released less than 5 months ago. Players should never pay for a card designer's mistakes.

Alchemy in historic is terrible. It needs to be it's own format. I have spent a lot of time and money playing Arena and I am thinking of quitting it because of Alchemy. Alchemy takes away from the skill needed to play Magic; jamming in new cards that could not be played on the table top is a really frustrating. Great magic games are like a chess match...chess would be ruined if players could bring pieces and mechanics from outside the game into it. Dump Alchemy from Historic or I dump Arena.

"Historic" as the name would suggest, is a format that should be about playing with older cards celebrating the long history of magic as a game.
I don't mind having alchemy in addition, but don't shove nerfs, rebalances and digital only cards down peoples throat
