Descend keyword does not trigger on tokens dying
The new Descend mechanic is phrased “when a permanent is put into a graveyard from anywhere”.
When a token dies, it is put into the graveyard but then ceases to exist. Tokens dying typically triggers effects with similar phrasing to the Descend ability.
However, during a draft tournament with the new set, I learned the hard way that tokens sacrificed or dying in combat do not trigger the Descend keyword as it is implemented in the app.
I firmly believe this is a bug as there are many cards in the new set that seem like they were designed around Descend triggering from tokens dying (e.g. The Mycotyrant).
This is a pretty serious bug for the new set so I hope it is fixed soon.

Ah - good catch. I'm wrong and Mycotyrant is far weaker than I thought it was.

No, it is worded "when a permanent CARD is put into your graveyard". Tokens aren't cards, so they don't count for descended. All three descend mechanics only care about actual cards. They all ignore tokens by design.
