It is the game pairing algorithm that can't find a game for your deck using the metrics that it does for the cards you are using. They make pairings work so that everyone has a fair chance of winning and won't match you with players that don't stand a chance of winning. Imagine playing against a vintage deck with the power 9 paired against a Pauper deck. Chances are good it wouldn't be fun for the Pauper deck.

I am trying to join game three of MWM , it loads through finding opponent, entering match then gets stuck at waiting for opponent and won't connect, the timer continues, it lets me play other game modes

The current Midweek Magic event seems to be bugged, at least for me. When I attempt to find a match, the game seems to match me with an opponent (as evidence by the "cancel" button disappearing) before becoming stuck on the "waiting for opponent" screen. The timer continues to run, but I am stuck on the screen and my only option is to stop and restart the whole application.

I have tried this 6-7 times, and the same sequence plays out each time. No other game modes present this problem for me.

Can't connect to a gladiator mid week magic game, stuck on waiting for opponent

"Waiting For Opponent" since yesterday ...

I'm also running into this problem. I was able to play a few games, but now it just hangs on "waiting for opponent..." I tried a couple of different decks, tried restarting, nothing works

The event works for me for some decks but does this exact thing when trying to play the Jeskai Temp or Sultai Channel Storm decks.

I have the same issue. I can start ranked matches but not mwm, tried many times and wasted a lot of time. Restarted the client, that doesn't help.
