I only have 1 overwhelming forces and 1 virtue of persistence in a 75 card deck with 29 land.
Multiple times I get both of those 2 cards in my opening hand with only 2 land with no land draw for 3 turns.

This does not happen in real life. Heres 2 back to back opening hands from 2 different games.
Something needs to be done with your shuffle algorithm because it's seriously flawed.
