Cannot challenge or accept challenges from friends. Likely due to an emoji symbol in the username.

I am trying to play with my daughter and she is the only person that none of our family can challenge or challenge with. We have tried multiple accounts in multiple directions. The only difference is her username with the symbol. Also, MTGA seems to have no way to change her username, so we can't even fix it if we tried.
