Desertion steals multiple creatures from stack
Opponent cast a Cavalier of Thorns with a Monstrous Vortex in play, and discovered a Tangled Florihedron. With both still on the stack, I cast Desertion targeting the cavalier. When Desertion resolved, both spells were countered and were put into play under my control, instead of just the one I targeted.

I had a similar experience with The First Sliver cascading into Oracle of Mul Daya. I was very surprised that I ended up with both creatures.
