trigger Cori-Steel Cutter
I'm playing standard with an Izzet Prowess deck, if I plot with slickshot-show off and then cast Cori-Steel Cutter and another spell, the Cori-Steel Cutter trigger doesn't fire.

Cori-Steel Cutter only cares about the second spell in a turn, period. Not necessarily the spell after the artifact is cast.
