Alternative arts that you don't choose are a real pain for readability and mental load

Extended frames or moving art is fine but different art for the same card is misleading and not frequent enough to get used to. I mostly think of bonus sheets or special guests cards, but also basic lands. It is difficult to identify them, read them and make the connection with an existing card with a different art and name. OTJ or FIN are great exemples. OTJ frames for the bonus sheet were colorless and unreadable, FIN introduced reprints with different names and different arts

Quite often my opponents play basic lands that I don't identify withtout reading the name or text box because the color is not really telling.

I would suggest to have an option to disable alternate arts from your opponent or to replace them with your preferred/default card view (the same goes during drafts).

I understand that you want people to express their style but that is an hindrance to the gameplay, on the same level (for me) that it would if you play with Korean cards with your beginner American friends.
