BUGs with time fuses and weftwalking
The Weftwalking and the Time Fuses interact very rarely. There are 2 different bugs I encountered in my Arena Qualifier Weekend, both got me out of the tournament.
First, I lost because the Weftwalking ability forced me to cast my spell for 0 mana. These are the steps: I had an X mana spell that I needed to cast first in order to win that turn. Weftwalking says MAY cast for 0 mana but I am not obligated. Even if the card says so, I did not get the chance — my spell instantly cast for X=0 and lost me the game. I know this does not happen all the time because I had a similar situation where I could cast my spell using my mana, but in the Qualifier Weekend I didn’t have the chance: my spell went to the stack with X=0 and I lost.
The second bug is related to Time Fuses. I got out too: my fuses ran out in my first main step, immediately jumping me to the end step, not letting me do my lethal attack. That’s ok, you can say it’s my fault and all of that, but I still had a flying lethal creature for next turn, and my opponent was at 1 with one card in hand. After thinking, my opponent cast a card in my end step — he cast the card that let me choose between putting my creature on top of my library or on the bottom. And I could not choose. It automatically put my lethal creature on the bottom. I had no choice. I know my Time Fuse ran out this turn but this makes no sense — at least let me choose. And how is that chosen?? Random??? I drew 6 lands in a row and lost. The best part?? I got nothing from customer support, just 4k gems.
It is incredibly frustrating that after a month of testing and a complete collection of EoE I got out of the tournament like that. And the only thing I got is 4k gems… I have heard of other players in similar situations getting Day 2 invites for next month, but for me… 4k gems… whatever. Please look into the bugs, especially the Weftwalking one.
