Standard ranked....
So I've been playing on here for weeks now, and I was really excited to use the starter decks to gain "rank" up to the platinum level. As soon as I made it into the LOWEST level of platinum, I am getting utterly destroyed by players with way more time and money invested. I am only winning one or two games for every 10-12 games I play. How am I supposed to continue enjoying this game if I only show up here to get destroyed by high-level players? Go ahead and look at my game history and you'll see it hasn't even been close. On the few games I have won at this level, it seemed that is was a result of the other player just not getting good cards drawn. Seriously, can you at least make room for beginner to intermediate playes to play each other instead of getting destroyed by veteran players? Is it even fun for those players to keep dominating newbies? It doesn't help them craft better decks and get better and it certainly doesn't help my desire to continue playing

Using a starter deck and getting to Platinum, is really good. Nice job. Once you get there, I would just complete the daily quests, wait for the month end awards, and play some Standard or other Play vs. Ranked matches. The time you play also matters, as the really good players enter later in the evening.
Eventually, you will get some good cards and wildcards (don't waste these) You can use gold to buy packs, which also awards you random rare/mythic and uncommon/common cards, and if you buy 10 boosters, you get a pack with 6 rares. Then you can compete. I have been playing for Decades and still get destroyed - ALL the time. Try different synergy cards that combo well and focus on a theme in your decks. Don't try to stuff everything in there, because then you are good at nothing against everything. 😉 Good luck and have fun!
