Smaug Achievement
The release of "The Hobbit" MTG set presents a unique opportunity to create an achievement based around "Smaug." Those familiar with J.R.R. Tolkien lore know that Smaug was a massive, greedy dragon who hoarded gems, treasures, and most of all, gold. So, it would be fitting to make an achievement that represented this iconic character.
Thus, I propose making hoarding gold an achievement. For example, if a player accumulates 1 million gold, they unlock this achievement which can include, a special, title, sleeve, or even avatar. There are already similar achievements such as "Leader of the Pack III" which requires the player to open 500 packs, so this is not beyond the realm of possibility.
Gold can not be bought with real money so creating this achievement may entice players to purchase gems which would mean more money for WOTC. If you want to make this achievement even more "fiery," make the threshold 2 million or dare I say, even 3 million gold!
So, let's all get dragon-sickness and make this happen!

The unique achievements for the Marvel set were actually a cool idea. I hope that they bring those back for other sets at some point, and this would be a good idea for one if they did them for the Hobbit (Though maybe scaled with the idea that they are only around until the next set comes out).
