To Report a Bug or Provide Feedback

Before reporting a bug, check to see if it has already been reported. In the Issue Title below search for specific key terms from your issue.




Example: Shivan Dragon (Note: Partial words won’t show up, so use “Shivan” instead of “Shiv.”)

If your issue has been reported already, simply click the vote button to show us you’ve experienced that issue as well. If you feel you have additional information that could be helpful to us in tracking down the issue please feel free to add it.

If your bug has not been reported, please do so now! Update the Issue Title to reflect the problem you’ve encountered.

Example: Shivan Dragon doesn’t work

Choose the Category that describes your problem.

Describing the problem in the following fashion helps make clear what happened and allows us to investigate the issue faster.

  1. Summarize the problem
  2. List the steps you took that led to the problem
  3. What was the result that happened when you followed those steps
  4. What was the result you expected to happen when you followed those steps

Example: The life tracker didn’t track my life.

  1. Open the life tracker and start a game
  2. Try to remove or add life to my life total
  3. Actual: my life total didn’t change
  4. Expected: my life total goes up or down

You can provide additional information that can also help us conclude an investigation quickly. Great information to include:

1.  What type of device you’re using
2. What version of your operating system you’re using
3. A screenshot of the issue (Note: it must be smaller than 50 mb in size)
4. Whether re-starting the application and attempting the steps again solved the problem

  2. unable to login to mobile app

    i can't login to the companion app. i've tried deleting the app and reinstalling. when i click on login there is no error message or anything. clicking the login button appears to do nothing. i can log in on the website and even mtg arena. please fix!

  3. Invalid JSON content

    When I click the play feature, I am prompted to update my account with my first and last name. I do so and hit click to submit and it simply tells me “ invalid JSON content”. Nobody knows how to fix this and I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it too.

  4. BUG | Companion | Locator | Events | Sort & Filter | Pick2

    Android App V 1.11.3

    Expected results:
    User should be presented with events of the selected Formats by means of an OR. For example, if they check both Standard and Pick 2 Draft they should see a list of only (standard or pick 2)

    This functionality works as expected for all user selections except when they select Pick 2 Draft.

    Actual results (since the Format facet selection for pick 2 draft was introduced):
    Pick 2 Draft causes no filtering for any selected format to be applied and the user is presented with all events for all formats.

  5. Cannot Login

    I cannot login to the Companion app with my Wizards account. I am able to sign in to my Wizards account via an internet browser, but nothing happens, and I can’t sign in, when I use the same credentials on the Companion app.

  6. Remove 16 player cap when hosting

    I run a Pauper night every 2 weeks at my LGS. I run it through Companion, as the store has too many other events running simultaneously to manage Pauper as well.

    We had a record turnout last night, 20 players, and I was upset to learn that the "Host" function in Companion has a hard cap of 16 players. I had to resort to using a third-party Swiss website, which didn't do tiebreakers correctly :(

    Please remove the player cap in the "Host an event" menu. Or at least double it to 32.

    My event registration history doesn’t include any events that i attended from Sept. 2022-March 2023 or March 2023-May 2025. Really strange but would love to see that data if this is just a bug and will get fixed later!

  10. Identity theft and fraud

    After updating the companion app, I found that a store has been continuously using my account to register for competitions. This behavior has lasted for nearly a year, and there have been hundreds of matches.I have been in Sichuan Province since 2025. However, this store is located in Guangdong Province, China, which is completely different and thousands of kilometers away from me. I have never been there at all. I have no idea how they get my account?

    Chaotic Good Brewing recently closed and no longer hosts Magic events yet is listed as doing so which may entitle them the pre releases that do not go to the public. Please review their listing to avoid confusion among Magic players.

  12. Player Statistics

    It would be nice to be able to lookup aggregate overall player statistics for yourself. The companion app gives percentiles for OMW (Opponent Match Win) and GW (Game Win) for the current event but doesn't keep track of these percentages over time.

    It would be great (as a newer player) to see progression stats over time by doing something with this event data instead of discarding it after every event. Maybe add an option under "track" or the "menu" bars in the top right corner of the app to lookup player stats.

    Lorwyn store championships are not appearing when filtering for them in the app. I can find them when I scroll through all the events, but when I filter for store championship, nothing shows up.

  15. Cross pod default and option in template

    Currently the default in Companion draft setup is to match players within pods. This is terrible. The people in the pod are the last people I want to play. You've seen the cards and can guess their decks.

    Plus, you can't set up a template to make cross pod matching the default. Please fix this as soon as possible.

  19. Phantom Event Displayed in Locator

    Can't screenshot as the phantom event disappeared once the time for the event start was reached. But an event on Saturday (17th) showed up as today (the 15th) on the locator. I know it did because the locator organizes chronologically. Mostly just unfortunate as I was hoping to get all four monthly events before the 20th which will be very difficult now, but I figured it's worth reporting this Phantom event issue.
