In concur. I still find it hilarious that they push (with default settings) an ill-designed un-balanced format, go through the contortions of hosting Brawl, yet refuse to enable something as brain-dead simple as Pauper.
Pioneer seems utterly forgotten too.
For me, Standard is the only online format worth considering atm. Draft is cool too, but it's just not my thing.

Yep. Sideboarding has been bugged for a least a week with no comment from WotC on this match-breaking issue.

Amen. I've be lobbying for a set of player moderation tools for years. Atm, I simply keep a list of known "bad actors" and refuse to play with them. It used to be 12. Sadly, it's now ballooned to 92 in just the past 6 months. Without moderation, this is what happens to a player-base.

Yep. This is definitely correct RAW behavior. The rule just shouldn't have been written that way as it makes zero gameplay or narrative sense.

Honestly, I think Pioneer is the format that WotC forgot. WotC doesn't seem to know what to do with it.
Alchemy has been broken from the beginning and I have no hope it will ever be balanced...let alone fun.

I'm seeing this too with the latest 2025.49.50 patch.
The fact this fundamental deck building bug somehow made it past QA is appalling.
How can you *not* have a sideboard-building test as part of first-pass QA?!
Screenshots and Log files are attached.

I'd forgotten that Up The Beanstalk triggered purely on mana value and not casting cost so, yeah, this definitely deserved a ban given the low gating for so many cards having casting-cost discounts.
One more reason to further restrict, but not eliminate, resolution mana cost differences from casting-cost.
Most recently, the Overlords and Rooms from Duskmourn like https://scryfall.com/card/dsk/68/overlord-of-the-floodpits and https://scryfall.com/card/dsk/43/bottomless-pool-locker-room .

Try the "Repair Game Files" option under "Adjust Options > Report A bug > Repair Game Files. The Adjust Options menu has the gear icon on the far right corner of the Home screen's menu bar.

Yes. This sadly this does happen and is "working as intended". Decks are "locked" prior to events during registration. You won't be able to register a deck with the banned cards in future events.

You can just play Standard. I agree that Alchemy is a broken format and would personally never play it or in formats where those cards are included.
The cards just don't go through the same level of Q/A balance-testing as IRL analog cards.

WotC doesn't care. Over the years, I've reported many players for unsportsmanlike conduct and it's never made a difference.
Bugs and crashes do occur and, unfortunately, due to the nature of the underlying (Unity) engine's design, both can appear like bad conduct to the other player.
According to the official rules, delaying a game is considered cheating, but (again) WotC doesn't care. As far as I can tell, there's been zero moderation for player conduct. Those same bad actors are still at it--years later.
I simply refuse to play (auto-concede) against repeat offenders in any match or event. It's not worth my precious play-time and sanity to have any other policy. WotC doesn't moderate, so I do it.

Update. These lands are now back in the store.

I believe these lands were part of a "Daily Deal" in the store. Those offers expire after 24 hours.
Honestly, WotC is leaving money on the table here as every player I know would pay good money to have just "their perfect" set of full art lands by their favorite artists, but they still only offer them as part of Daily Deals or events.

I disagree. Offensive mill shouldn't exist as a game mechanic. It prevents players from playing the cards they put into their deck.
Additionally, if you're playing such a grossly oversized deck compared to the format, *you* are part of the problem and you *should* expect to have a bad time.

Thanks very much for that extremely thorough explanation Rezzahan.
If this had happened to me, I would've likewise posted it as a bug. The whole "excess of 1 deathtouch damage" is very counter-intuitive, but I understand why they implemented it this way.
It took a few re-readings of rules 120.4a and 702.2 to fully grasp the interaction.
This is a known bug with Arena. There are a few infinite no-interaction combos with Bloodthirsty Conqueror that should result in a match Draw, but actually result in a Loss and a few unscrupulous players are taking advantage of it.
The minute that card goes down just concede.
