    I will never play a format with Alchemy in it. That's not why I enjoy Magic. If I wanted digital-only mechanics I would play Hearthstone. As it is I will never play or buy a pack for any non-Standard format, because literally every other format is ruined by these stupid digital-only cards that are not part of the real game of Magic the Gathering. Wizards, if you give me an eternal format (Timeless, Historic, Pioneer, whatever) without Alchemy, I'll play it and buy cards/packs/etc for it. But as it is I am limited to only Standard and I've already decided I will not be spending any more money (free to play only) on Arena until this horrible design decision is reversed and we can play real Magic again. And even then my interest is greatly reduced because I know all the cards I open in packs will eventually rotate out and be playable only in formats that don't interest me.

    I'm strongly considering moving away from Arena altogether because of the lack of an eternal non-Alchemy format. All the cards I buy for Standard become useless to me after rotation. I guess I can play Explorer, but Explorer doesn't let me play fetch lands. I really dislike the decision by WotC to force Alchemy mechanics into so many formats on Arena. We're playing Arena because we love Magic. Magic is a great game. Magic doesn't have digital-only mechanics like "conjure a card" or "seek a card", and forcing stuff like that to coexist with real cards that we love feels insulting, and like the developers completely miss the point of what we like about the game.
