Also blocked double strike with deathtouch creature, did nothing.

4 years on and this is still an issue. Everyone knows it too, people just chump block doublestrikers all the time.

Three years and double strike is STILL busted. Same. Not spending money until fixed

Double Strike

Anytime i’m attacking with a creature with double strike and it is blocked it only does first strike damage. This has happened for a while and the other people i’m playing against know about this and take advantage of it (they usually just chump block with a single creature cause they know the mechanics broken) It only regularly works if i find a way to put trample on the creature. I have lost a lot of ranked games from the broken mechanic and drafts where it’s been a deciding factor in the game and end up losing due to it, so i just feel like i’ve been scammed for gems. With my standard deck i use blade historian and paladin class and even with the attacking board or single target affect if only does first strike damage when blocked.

I attacked with a Bonecrusher Giant that had +2/+0 and haste off Ogre Battledriver and an Embercleave, and my opponent blocked with a Lovestruck Beast and an Anax, Hardened in the Forge. I order the blocks so Anax dies during normal combat, but Anax's death trigger occurs twice: once during first strike and once during normal combat damage. This gave my opponent four tokens instead of two.

I suspect the issue is that the game thought Anax was going to die during first strike damage, and so the death trigger occurred once there and once when Anax actually died.

Lost a ranked game because of this.
