I cant play the game cause it just sends me to a black screen with a spinning red circle and the words waiting for server. Any suggestions? I'm on mobile 9n a galaxy s9. I'm running a compatible device and I've tried everything. Please help

Game paused after a "waiting for server" stance. Unable to proceed the match, just the time in the clock runs out.

Sometimes I'll get the "Waiting for Server" load symbol. But, once I come back it has gone to a game state that is entirely impossible. For instance, it would be the opponent's turn when the error occurs and I would come back to have found it was my turn and that I had played cards and am in the second main phase.

Tive o mesmo problema no ''neon arcade'' e no ''draft premium'', muito triste perder a partida por estar reconectando com o servidor, já testei minha internet e não havia problema nenhum com ela, gostaria de reaver as minhas moedas, poderia até ser de forma parcial, pois eu fiquei com os packs do draft e tive um pouco do ouro de volta nos neon arcade, mas mesmo assim, esse problema esta me incomodando

This also affects me a reasonable amount. Arena is very poor at keeping the connection alive. It also may or may not cause some routers to start blocking incoming traffic for some reason, which appears as if we're disconnected (but the internet otherwise works fine).

It's also worth keeping a shortcut to cmd prompt and the ping ability (can just be a .bat file that says 'ping <ip address of your router>'. Then when the rope appears you can immediately run this and check whether you are still connected to your router.

Unfortunately a related issue is that when you see the 'Waiting for Server' screen, Arena loves to also crash completely if you alt-tab during this message...

Also if you're using a wired connection to your router, check that your cables aren't getting old. It can appear like you're dropping connection to game servers when in fact it's your cables flaking out. It's worth replacing them every 5-10 years.

I am getting fed up with my drafts and games constantly being disrupted and often ruined by freezes and the 'Waiting for Server' message.

This issue happens at least one or twice in pretty much every game I play. The game will freeze up (as if I'm waiting for my opponent), then after some time, the 'Waiting for Server' message will show for 5-10 seconds, before finally returning to normal.

Sometimes play resumes before I have missed anything, but often, I end up missing a key play because my time bank runs out. If a new turn starts before play has resumed, then my lands/creatures are stuck appearing as tapped indefinitely.

This issue is even more frustrating when it happens during a draft, as sometimes I actually have to restart MTGA before I can see any cards. This has led to me missing several key picks, sometimes ruining the whole draft.

This has been happening for months now... When it first started, I assumed that it was just my internet connection, but I now know this not to be the case.

Playing MTG is quite expensive for me, seeing as I only play draft. This bug not only affects my play experience, but it actually results in more losses, which in turn, results in fewer games played per draft and fewer gems rewarded (which makes it even more expensive. It's not fair to have my experience ruined like this.

I have this problem here in Brazil since last week, impossible to play...

Arena with the same account runs fine on my smartphone and my pc, but from about 2 months it stopped working on my huawei matepad pro.
It worked fine there for about 3 months, and then, after an update it loads correctly and then stucks on "waiting for server".

I just had the same problem as Broseph Stylin, entered my draft, readied up, and then got stuck at Waiting for Server. By the time I closed out and rejoined, the draft was almost through the second pack. Pretty big bummer for my first Double Feature draft...

Hello, I am Broseph Stylin. Just a short while ago I spent 1500 gems on the Double Feature Draft - I'm new to Magic online, and wanted to try out a new draft I hadn't seen before. I joined in, was given a new card to claim, and then had the ready up screen. I selected Ready up, and then it moved us onto the next screen, where I was met with a "Waiting for the Server..." and a spinning circle.

I continued to wait at this screen for about 10 minutes. I thought perhaps someone was still loading, or there was a server issue. I was terrified to close the game for fear of missing the draft, and I noticed that I could not actually access the menu or anything, but sit and stare at the spinning loading circle.

After about 10 minutes I chose to risk it, CTRL+ALT+F4 out and rejoined, hoping that I didn't lose my gems for nothing. Immediately got the Waiting for server screen again, and thought I was doomed... but then it launched me into the game.

At the point that I joined, it was the 3rd card in the 3rd pack. I missed out on the entire previous two packs, and saw my entire deck was a complete and utter rainbow, with zero chance at the upcoming games to compete. But worse, I had absolutely no control over which cards I received.

Could I receive a refund for a purchase that I did not consent to if I had known I would not have the choice to select over 70% of my deck? I had a very bitter experience, and hope that this can be resolved - I'm completely fine if you want to take all the cards back from this draft and refund my gems.

I truly hope this was a one-off experience, I've never had an issue with paying in other games such as gwent, and if Magic is incapable of providing the experience that I am paying money for, then I will no longer spend any more money. Please understand that I am speaking from the perspective of a freshly jaded customer.

I was in the middle of a ranked game, casting the card that would have won the game on the spot, and as it goes onto the stack, the game stops responding, grays out, and I see "waiting for server" with the card still sitting inert on the stack. When the game comes back, it had passed the phase for me into combat, wasting my turn, and my card was still sitting on the stack, unused, nor playable. I passed two turns like this, and it turned out all I had to do was left-click my card to finally cast it. You need to do something about this. There was nothing indicating that course of action to even be appropriate. Normally, when things go onto the stack, they then resolve. There was no reason for the game to have ever passed the phase, considering I didn't even lose a timeout, much less not cast/resolve the card THAT WAS ALREADY ON THE STACK.

Additionally, in that same game, after a fight effect targeting a Phyrexian Obliterator and my Oak forced me to sacrifice 33 permanents, the game then failed to trigger Heliod's effect on my gaining 33 life, which should have allowed me to give that same Oak more counters, allowing me to rebuild my board immediately. Instead, I had to luck into a creature draw on my following turn in order to rebuild. If I hadn't drawn another Oak that turn, I lost the game to stacking rules.

Thankfully I still won the game, but I had to go infinite through TWO Phyrexian Obliterators, AND another bug, to do so.

Happened last week and after the update this week the game worked, for about 24 hours. Happening again today. Waiting for server then I get disconnected from the game.

Lost a game thanks to "Waiting for server" for absolutely no reason during a match. Happened around 08:13am CET

Same has happened to me when I purchased a premium draft event, would like a refund please.

I also experience this problem for 2 weeks now. I'm using Huawei mate 40 pro. Hope wotc can help us regarding this problem. It also works perfectly fine in my laptop but not in my mobile phone.

Happening with me too on Google Pixel 3XL and Android 11. Can't even get into the game because it gets stuck on the initial "waiting for the server" screen. Works on a Macbook but not on my mobile. So frustrating! I bough the mastery pass, spend real money on this game, and WOTC doesn't do anything for support. Terrible.
