I got the same problem as EliW#55376 do. Exactly the same. MacOS too. I have contacted the customer service of MGTA but all the methods they offer are of no use. I still can't open my MGTA.

I am having this same issue now. MacOS. I was traveling and tried to launch the game while on bad Amtrak Wifi ... it needed to download assets. Eventually it locked up, and I gave up. Now later I'm on regular wifi again and every time I launch it I get this error, with "Arena will relaunch to verify asset contents"... It relaunches, and the process repeats over and over. I have:

- Uninstalled/reinstalled MTGA 3 times.
- Tried cleaning out any extra data I could find in the Epic games folders.
- Tried using VPN, different VPN endpoints, or non-VPN
- Tried launching without Wifi and turning it on later.

I always get this error now and the game is unplayable.

FIX FOUND! For Mac.. Well, for me at least.. I turned off my wifi, started the game (not with EpicGames) and when it says it can't connect I hit the "Retry" button like 10 times, left the game open, turned on my wifi, connected to my network, went back to the game screen, hit retry, and BAM, game works fine now. Hi I am having a same issue! Any solutions?

I’m constantly in the middle of games and all the sudden mtg arena crashes and the app simply closes. This has happened repeatedly over the past 3 days with no rhyme or reason to why this keeps occurring. It’s so frustrating that it takes the fun out of playing on the app and has me questioning on whether I will continue to play due to this horrific in-game experience over and over and over again.

My PC is stuck in this loop anyone figure this out yet it started after update on 4/24

While playing in limited matches, for the 3rd time now, I've been booted from the match. Log back on, no win or loss for the match but this is becoming extremely irritating. Never happened before Kamigawa update, has happened 3 different days now. Please fix this, if there is anything that would help on my end, please tell me. I'd love if this stopped happening.

May 1st edit: WTF, why is my report a comment now?! I reported this as a bug, and now my bug report has been converted into a comment and buried in this thread?! This thread contains various kinds of asset errors, some of which can be resolved easily, and others (like my bug) can NOT be resolved and literally make the game unplayable. Is this problem really so widespread it's clogging up the forums?

Asset Errror Detected loop (NEO, 2022) [solved after waiting for two weeks, and then it broke again when the next set came out]

When I go to open Arena on pc, it goes through the regular loading steps, then I get: Asset Error Detected, arena will relaunch to verify asset contents. I click OK, Arena attempts to reload, I get the same error, try again, same error. This problem started immediately after I downloaded the NEO update on Feb 10, 2022. I have tried running Arena at least once a day since then and the problem persists. Arena is completely unusable now.

I guess I'll classify this as a gameplay bug since the game literally won't play? I can't even begin to search for a solution. I've seen people from 2020 and 2021 get the same error message (though not necessarily the same problem. Heck, you'd hope a problem from two years ago would've been solved by now), and some of them have said Arena started working again after the next patch came out, so I guess that's my best bet (obviously, it would be ridiculous if I have to wait that long just to play the game). Some folks tried reinstalling Arena and said this did nothing to solve the problem, so I'm not gonna bother reinstalling.

Update1: they released a small patch a week after the NEO release. This did nothing to solve the problem. Who knows when this game will be functional.

Update2: As of Feb 28 the game is functional. Arena seems to have solved the problem on its own. When I launched Arena, instead of getting an immediate asset error message, I got a screen saying it was downloaded stuff, and then there were a very lengthy process of "Validating asset files to ensure stability, this may take a while," and then it downloaded some more stuff, and then it was working. I did not receive consolation of any kind despite having missed out on about two weeks worth of daily quest rewards and level progression as well as missing the launch of a new set.

Update3: New Capenna released and the problem is back. Why do I even play this garbage game?

Update4: So it took about a week before the game started working again. Still totally unacceptable.

I have the same issue on windows have posted it again. Online some suggest to connect to a different network using a VPN or a different Wifi network/ Mobile hotspot. It did not work for me sadly.

After new update today i have same problem. How can i fix it

I got the same problem now...can't even get in to the game or start page.
