Bug with Croaking Counterpart/Wrenn and Seven Token
- Make a token with Wrenn and Seven. Then utilize "Croaking Counterpart" to copy the token. Croaking Counterpart will create a new token, but that token will not have the ability on the Wrenn and Seven token that it copied. ("This creature's power and toughness are each equal to the number of lands you control.")
2) Using a PC
3) The card will only create a 1/1 token with no ability text.
4) I should get a 1/1 token, with an ability that boosts its power and toughness based on the number of lands I have.

I have the same issue with Cultivator Colossus where it removes the text about it's P/T being equal to number of lands. On the Gatherer website in rulings for Croaking Counterpart it says "Except for power, toughness, creature type, and color, the token copies exactly what was printed on the original creature and nothing else". I get that it doesn't copy it's P/T but it should copy the text determining it's P/T as this effect keeps changing as the number of lands keeps changing

This works as intended, if a copy ability specifies power and toughness, any abilities on the card that set power and toughness are removed.

I've experience this same bug. Cards like Spirit of the Aldergard work fine though.

This is an issue with layers. The layer applying the 1/1 is applied after the P/T changing text on Wrenn's treefolk, so it will always be a 1/1
