Product Suggestion Leave Historic Alone
With the new Alchemy format, can we please have it separated from Historic? You are going to be nerfing cards considering the standard environment, please leave them alone for Historic decks.

Long-time Magic player here, and also an Arena player for the last few years.
I will NEVER spend another dollar on Arena with this Alchemy-infused Historic format.
If this is part of a larger plan to roll out Pioneer, or something to that effect - be transparent about it and let us know what that product roadmap looks like.Y'all don't seem to have a good transparent roadmap for your customers outside of normal paper product releases. The confusion and seemingly erratic nature of how your digital Arena platform shows me as a business owner that you are doing too much trial and error. Of which, you can certainly grow your userbase, albeit probably only retaining new customers a short while - though while quite possibly alienating your core userbase who have been invested in you since they started playing Magic.
Who would you rather have WOTC, flash in the pan fans that will certainly fizzle out on the whole due to other, better digital competition? Or an accretive and continuous userbase growth by better communicating with your customer base?
Your digital side of the house is out of touch.

Makes no sense to balance cards for standard and force historic to use those balanced cards. It’s a different format!

This is a really bad idea, and all of your social media is swarmed with your customer base telling you this. If it still rolls out it will become apparent that you don’t listen to your player base in the least bit. I exclusively play historic, and every card that I bought that had a specific value that I wanted is subject to change each month. It makes me not want to purchase any more cards because they could potentially not be what I’m buying in a months time. This is a ridiculously bad idea.

Please leave the historic format alone, introducing digital-only cards that could never be used in real life was bad enough, but I can just choose not to play with them in my decks and only see them when my opponents do. I would be very upset if changes were made to cards in my beloved historic decks.

Let us play historic brawl without nerfed/ buffed and digital only cards! I want to play Mtg on Arena like i would in paper and not Hearthstone. If you follow through with your plans i will delete Arena and encourage my friends to do the same.

Dear WIzards, what you're looking to do to the Historic mode, kills all the motivation to play and the motivation to spend on the game. There should be another way to to what you're looking to do and not discourage your players so much.

Leave historic alone or bring in Pioneer. I don’t care about a digital only format. I barely play the format as is due to the stupid digital only cards and will definitely completely stop playing if the proposed updates are enacted. I don’t know why wizards refuses to listen to its player base. Modern has long been my favorite format and they have continually ignored it except to sell packs. Historic was fun since the promised pioneer never made it but has gotten worse with time and sucks to not have a paper equivalent. At least standard is okay right now as that’s my last option for digital constructed. I bought the cards in paper of a deck I really have been having fun with and can’t wait for them to arrive so I can go play at my lgs. Idk why it’s so hard to support paper. But please don’t ruin the one digital eternal format that we can play.

Alchemy actually seems cool tbh, but why have the changes to impact historic. It's super fine right now, and really a good metagame to play. Please, please, live it alone

Actually not please. Leave historic alone or i will be outta here, simple as that. You won't get me to play your ****** standard and throw money at a format i don't enjoy. This all just screams at us that you want to make historic unappealing so people play the formats that take away their cards every year. No thanks.
You promised to provide a format where we can play the cards WE PAID MONEY FOR. We invested in this promise. Now stick to your word or i will be outta the door faster than you can say player retention.
What you guys don't realize is that you transform goodwill from your fanbase into spite. People will feel betrayed and express their dissatisfaction to their friends, associates and on social media. We certainly will not get tired of telling people how you screwed us and you will lose money through this, because guess who gets new players to join the magic community? Thats right, its us, the playerbase.
What we want is clear and it is not too much to ask. It is up to you to deliver now. Don't destroy a working platform for this great card game. If you want to experiment, create a different format for that.

I'm excited to brew with Alchemy cards, but not if it comes at the cost of Historic. Let me keep the stability of an eternal format with unchanging cards please.

Alchemy sounds like an interesting idea, but please keep it and it's historic version separate from the historic format that is already on Arena! Maybe historic could become a paper-compliant format, and all of the digital only cards and mechanics could be a new alchemy-historic format? I would be interested in all of the formats if there was that sort of divide!

Please, i play historic brawl, and i want to play my cards in paper magic and arena just the same.
Alchemy is fine, as a format, standard players can plays untouched standard if they want. Let historic and historic brawl players do the same please.
