Historic Alchemy should be a distinct format where the digital only AND the rebalanced cards live. Regular Historic should track as close to the paper cards as possible. I understand regular Historic was "curated", but it was curated with masters and anthologies of previous paper cards, and that was fine and lovely. Just don't curate it with digital only like the last JMP, and certainly don't destroy cards we have and the fidelity with the paper game by forcing "rebalanced" cards on us.

New formats are fun. However, Alchemy needs to remain its own independent product. Historic and Historic Brawl should not be looped into a new game design.

As a limited/historic player, this change means I will stop playing historic after I'm done drafting new sets, and possibly just stop playing MTGA altogether - I'm not really interested in Standard, which tends to be quite bad, or constantly rebalanced Hearthstone-like nonsense.

IF I PAY FOR SOMETHING "AS IT IS" BECAUSE IT IS "AS IT IS" THEN YOU SHOULD LET IT "AS IT IS".

AND MOST OF ALL, TELL ME HOW HAVING 2 SIMILARD STANDARDS FORMATS ARE NOT GOING TO CONFUSE PEOPLE ?

WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS OF A FINAL PRODUCT, NOT THE BETA TESTERS OF AN UNCERTAIN ONE. AT LEAST IF WE PARTICIPATE THAT WAY BY GIVING SUCH AN INCREDIBLE STACK OF DATA'S, PAY US FOR DOING THE JOB YOU'VE BEEN SUPPOSED TO DO FOR YEARS INSTEAD OF KILLING US IN THE BACK.

I applaud you for giving players the choice between paper-like Standard, and a dynamically-changing Standard with online-only mechanics. Letting players pick was the right decision!

Forcing Historic players into the new dynamic paradigm feels very bad to lovers of the format. I can't speak for everyone, but one of the reasons I love non-rotating formats is their stability; it's very concerning to see you striking at that.

At the very least, please consider giving us Traditional Historic and Alchemy Historic as two separate formats. If this takes the digital-only Jumpstart cards out of traditional Historic, so much the better!

Just make a real historic and alchemy historic queues.

Leave Historic alone or I will simply uninstall, its the only format Im completely invested in and your stupid decisions are really hurting the game

You could start paying to play testers instead of destroying decks we already pay for without giving us anything in exchange. Sorry this in a monetary move only to sell more packs. If old cards are make worse and digital only cards are the rule that can also change in any moment I don’t want to keep playing this game.

I'm an arena only player using historic brawl to playtest my future commander decks. So changing historic(brawl) will make me less likely to spend money on paper and historic wildcards

Playtest your cards before you release them. Leave Historic alone

Not touching historic again if this is this plan comes to fruition. I can never be sure that valuable cards will be nerfed.

I don't mind Alchemy as a separate format, but re-balancing Historic is so incredibly user unfriendly that it really makes me consider dropping Arena entirely. As someone who has invested hundreds of dollars in Arena, what is my incentive to continue if I can't play the decks I want due to arbitrary re-balancing? This is, unfortunately, yet another short-sighted, poorly planned attempt at making players craft even more wild cards. My wallet is finally, permanently closed, Wizards.

WotC, please keep Alchemy rebalances and whatnot within Alchemy and out of Historic. I play Arena because I want to play Magic with the cards I /know/. Not with cards that might change every month. If I wanted that, I'd play any other online CCG. I'd play Runeterra, Hearthstone or even Eternal. But I don't. Because I like the stability of having cards as they are, and I like playing Magic. And now you're trying to be Hearthstone, for some reason. Just don't. Stop for a second.

Your fans like MtG for what it is, not for something it's trying to be and isn't.

All we want from historic arena is to eventually move towards what modern is now. I will spend big bucks if you just do that. But I'm not going to spend anything on this digital only nonsense.

If those changes happen I will uninstall the game, I love mtg and have played for more than 15 years now, I have my Arena account since the closed beta and have convinced multiple of my friends to ditch other tcg's for Arena. I play exclusively historic, as I prefer non rotating formats, a long time ago you promised to implement Pioneer onto the client, but you lied about it, now you plan to terminate the only eternal format available without ant consideration to your player-base. If Alchemy affect historic without any news about pioneer, in the 8th I will log off after completing my dailies, something that I have done everyday for the past two years, to never login again.
