I don't mind Alchemy as a format and I would play it. I don't mind digital cards. I don't entirely mind shaking Historic up. I would prefer to see a paper eternal format like Pioneer introduced, and maybe have Alchemy cards not be all Rare and Mythic, but whatever.

The hill I will die on is changing cards I paid money and resources to access and not refunding me that purchase. It's borderline a bait and switch practice that has me wanting to uninstall. Two of my best friends already uninstalled over this nonsense.

You want to create a new mode and introduce digital stuff? Great! You want to do that at the expense of the user experience and added cost to your players? No. You do realize your competition (WHO IS BEATING YOU FINANCIALLY) is significantly more user friendly....right?

Historic was the best thing to happen to Arena. Adding the Alchemy version cards into this format absolutely ruined it. I have uninstalled Arena with zero intentions of returning until Alchemy cards leave the format.

You know Historic players don't want this. Your decision was not an oversight or a mistake. We understand that Hasbro is pressuring you to increase sales by 15% every year, but we also love Magic and want it to be fun, exciting, and reliable. PLEASE I hope anyone reading this can forward a message to management at WotC: I implore you to consider meeting your 15% profit increase by making the game great and bringing new players to the table, rather than making the game more expensive and trying to fleece your dedicated fans for every penny of disposable income they have.

Magic is a great game that we love, and I know we can work together to make it more fun, more inclusive, and most importantly for WotC more profitable.

Alchemy is fine as its own format but please leave historic alone.

I really don’t have a way to play in person, so I play on Arena. Now that Historic has these Alchemy cards, it’s really not Magic, so I really don’t have a place to play anymore. I’m not interested in playing cards that are only available on Arena. I can’t bring myself to spend any more time or money on this game until Alchemy gets out of Historic and Rebalanced goes away entirely.

Whoever came up with this idea should be fired immediately. In the future, anything that isn’t available on paper should be completely optional in Arena. Also, try spending your time working through all your glitches for a while.

Side note: Your new UI sucks. It’s like you intentionally tried to make it more confusing.

I still don't understand the point of adding alchemy, and even less so of changing cards in Historic according to that horrible, sad excuse for a "product". Do you purposefully want to sabotage Arena and Historic?

I don’t accept the change you have made to Historic by replacing existing cards with modified Alchemy versions of these same cards. I won’t play again unless this changes.

Please limit card changes to Alchemy named formats.

Changes made based on standard levels of balance should not be carried over to Historic. Furthermore, the lack of a 1 to 1 compensation for changes to cards is unacceptable.

Either ban the cards in historic and refund wildcards, then introduce the nerfed versions. or don't put the changed cards in historic. the only changed cards that should exist in historic are already digital only or cards previously banned.

Please let Historic be an eternal format and not one that has to shift due to rebalancing. :/

The only reason I haven't uninstalled, is because I'm sure you'll end up reversing this due to backlash.

Seriously though, you had a perfectly good tool, that could be targeted to single formats, known as Bannings... But instead of using that (and also learning from your mistakes on extra turn cards: AS IN, stop printing them!), you invent a new format (Alchemy), and screw with a second one (Historic), and avoid fixing the third one (Standard).

It's not hard to figure out some of the issues... Every time you make an extra turn card, it becomes either an issue, or a deck people build to troll others.

I don't play MTG Arena for these new formats... I play them as placeholders for when you finally finish adding all the pioneer cards, and figure out how to do multi-player commander!
