March of Swirling Mist didn't pay Thalia tax with exiled card.
The March of Swirling Mist text says you may exile to reduce the cost of the spell: "This spell costs {2} less to cast for each card exiled this way."
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, says, "Noncreature spells cost {1} more to cast."
Finally, the gatherer ruling on Thalia says, "To determine the total cost of a spell, start with the mana cost or alternative cost you're paying, add any cost increases, then apply any cost reductions."
So casting March with X=3 and 2 exiled blue cards, with a Thalia on the field, should cost {U}, but Arena insisted that I pay {1}{U}. I couldn't pay, and was hit for lethal.
Was this a bug, or am I misinterpreting the ruling?
