Sheoldred Stop on Upkeep
When I'm tapped out and my opponent casts Sheoldred, it always goes direct to draw, skipping their end step, and my upkeep, not even allowing me to put a stop on my upkeep. This has frequently happened while I have an instant speed removal spell in my hand, which I would use on my upkeep to prevent the loss of life on the Sheoldred trigger. Am I supposed to always have a stop on my upkeep in expectation of them playing Sheoldred? I think that's unreasonable.

Settings->Gameplay->Show Phases (force-enabled on mobile)
Ensure there is a stop on your upkeep (indicated by a red octagon) as long as Apocalypse Sheoldred is under an opponents control.
Consider keeping a stop on your opponent's end step (indicated by blue octagon) to give you time to set a stop on your upkeep -

This is freaking stupid. I had an instant speed answer, but it did NOT allow me to do it before my draw for the turn leading to me taking exact freaking lethal the next turn when it was absolutely avoidable and I would have WANTED to avoid that

Perhaps not an upkeep check, as that may tip off the opponent that you have an instant. I think if Sheoldred is on the field, every end of turn should have a hard stop and both players must pass priority for the next turn to begin. This gives time to add a stop on upkeep, but doesn't tip your hand either if you don't happen to have any instants.

This is important. It’s one of the few ways out of the Sheoldred trap. I’ve started setting a stop on my draw whenever my opponent *could* play Sheoldred because the game will just plow right past the window where I can kill her before taking draw damage. The game needs to recognize when you have an instant or ability with an enemy Sheoldred in play and auto-stop, just like it does for combat.

A player can cast the new Sheoldred and end turn. The game then auto draws a card causing me to lose 2 life even though I could kill it on my upkeep. There isn't enough time to add a stop, and I don't want to play full control because of this one card. Can this card have an upkeep check added before just drawing the card?
