matchmaking
The way this game combines match making rank and tiered ranks is really weird. Worse, the match making rank is hidden, meaning there is no way to know how good you are or if you are getting better.
Usually your goal in a competitive game is to increase your match making rank. That is how you know how good you are.
Tiered ranks work equally well. You move up ranks when you win more games than lose, and move down ranks when you lose more than win.
Both methods help you find a sweet spot where you win roughly 50% of your games, and they allow you to easily see if you are getting better. However combining them means neither really work.
At least making the MMR visible would allow players to gauge their success. But preferably one of these should be removed completely.

Like the vast vast majority of players I DON'T LIKE ALCHEMY. The only thing in Magic I possibly hate more is being Forced to play Alchemy. There should honestly be filters before match making that allow you to choose if you want to play against stupid made up cards that couldn't possibly exist, or to play Magic the Gathering. For Brawl those filters should let you choose which commanders you don't want to play against because the overwhelming majority of pushed card commanders are absolutely no fun to play against. At minimum it would be nice if Wizards actually listened to the community that pays their bills

I agree, the matchmaking is truly terrible. I posted about this two days ago and in all their wisdom a moderator merged my topic with an year old one that wasn't even talking about the same issue. Now my complaint is nowhere to be found, let's see if they do the same for this one. (An easy way to sweep the problem under a rug for sure)
Upvoted, they need to do something about this.
