Store not working
The MTG arena store will not let me purchase gems. I am trying to either purchase the $20 or $50 gems option to participate in the Decathlon pauper event. When I click on the button to bring me to payment, the store just gets stuck on the loading screen.
My username is f3_kf2#92968 and I am playing on the Mac app.
Since I cannot play the event during the work week, I would like to be either given the token for the event or a significant discount on the store if this issue is not resolved today.

If you've installed using Epic Games on Mac, you can probably find it in Users / Shared / Epic Games / MagicTheGathering. To find it from anywhere, though, you can launch it then right-click the icon in the Dock, go to Options, then Show in Finder. The Rosetta trick works. Thanks!

Shout out to MädschigSeGesering#87526 for the recommended fix. I just ran into this issue (new for me) on a new MacBook Air running macOS Sequoia Version 15.7.2. The below pasted fix from Mädschig worked for me like a charm:
go to the folder where the mtga-app is inside
> right click
> get info
> open using rosetta
> I opened mtga and it worked fine for me thenHope this helps <3

EDIT: MädschigSeGesering#87526 COMMENT WORKED FOR ME. DON'T UNDERSTAND BUT NOT QUESTIONING. THANK YOU!!
Same issue on MacBook Air M4. Had been purchasing with no issues for years. Purchased the Avatar play bundle and haven't been able to make a purchase since then. Spinning wheel of doom. Please let me give you money.

Same issue, I didn't start having the problem until Nov. 6, 2025, but have been unable to purchase gems since then. On Mac OS.

Same issue. Started a couple of years ago and the only way I have been able to make purchases is by starting the app on my phone and making purchases on it and then starting the game on my Mac. When I contacted customer service they told me to contact my bank. They aren't the brightest but sure love their predatory marketing ploys. All that and they still can't solve a long standing problem in their programming. And they are supposed to be the professionals.

I'm in the same boat. Apple Silicon MacBook Pro and tried for weeks to take advantage of the FF presale with the "Waiting for Server" wheel of death. Trying to buy gems to no avail as well.... A discount is certainly warranted.

still can't access the FF presale. What a shame! This is unacceptable—I expect a discount or some kind of compensation for this mess. Seriously, how is this still not fixed?

For a while I was able to make purchases from my Macbook and not my iMac but now neither device is allowing me to use the store. This is nonsense. It isn't any fun to lose time after time to people who can spend money on decks while I have to grind daily quests for gold in order to get any cards.

I can't believe that this issue remains unaddressed. I have intel and apple silicon macs at my house and the issue has been going on for months now. Weirdly it hit my son's M1 MacBook Air first almost a year ago, then it caught up with my intel iMac last Fall. It's preposterous to me that you've allowed a store bug to impact your ability to make money with all your macOS players.

In the same boat as everyone here, probably going on a year plus with no shop access. Saved a fortune but wanted to get back into limited for Tahrir. If anyone has found solutions please share. I have uninstalled it plenty of times and had no luck.

I have made plenty of purchases on the Mac previously, but today I got stuck on "Waiting for the Server..." during a purchase. Restarting the application, logging out and back in, nothing helped.
This is an extremely poor bug to have not fixed. It's Wizard's income, after all! ...I would think it would have the highest priority. 8P
A workaround would have been if Wizards provided a web store for MTGA purchases. I guess they do not have much incentive to maintain a platform independent store.

This is not fixed, nor do any of the workarounds work for me. I have an Intel Mac and an Apple silicon Mac, and can't make purchases on either of them.
Doesn't matter if I launch from the Epic launcher, doesn't matter if I reinstall Arena.

I confirm what @LarterStyles said: Try launching Arena from the Epic Games Launcher; this temporarily resolves the store timeout issues on macOS.
This worked for me!!! Using MBP M1 Pro

Just another comment to say that this issue continues to cost wotc money.
I just tried to spend $15 on the mastery pass for Foundations but the game just repeatedly gets stuck waiting on the server, so I'll just save the money and buy the pass with gems if I end up playing enough to justify it. Using an M2 macbook air.
