Azor, the Lawbringer is not performing as the text currently reads.
In the match I have copied my logs from. The opponent has Azor, the Lawbringer. The way the card performed was it prevented me from playing instants and sorceries on the enemies turn via counterspell or settle the wreakage in response. as well as preventing instants and sorceries every turn after. How the card reads and is expected to perform When Azor, the Lawbringer enters the battlefield, each opponent instant or sorcery spells during that player's next turn. When Azor attacks you may pay(cost)if you do, gain x life and draw x cards. Magic cards are intended to be played as the text reads to keep things simple for new players and all players to enjoy the game. and according the this text I should be able to still cast instants and sorceries on their turn in response to anything, be it a counter spell or settle the wreckage. There is also the issue the card says directly referring to the player's next turn. Nothing in there does it say regarding the following turns after either. according to the text it should be my next turn and then the ability expires.

It's not Azor that prevents you from doing stuff, it's Xanathar.
