The people behind this anthology should be ashamed of themselves. Apologize. Communicate clearly with us. Be better in the future.
My whole pioneer deck will be on there now but I write this in solidarity for my peers whose decks are not yet.

As a pioneer fan, EA3 is the worst anthology ever released on arena. If a fraction of the time spent pushing alchemy was used to implement pioneer on arena the client would have a much larger base of pioneer players.

Until we get either a public apology for EA3 or an anthology that is actually focused on pioneer cards rather than historic brawl I will not be playing much Explorer. So I guess that's it for another 8 months...

Won’t lie when I first saw this was coming I was beyond excited. But after seeing only 3 maybe 4 cards were remotely playable I was annoyed and frankly thought this decision was laughable. I understand they want to drip feed and milk the release of content. That said Wotc consistently pushes out fringe, unplayable, commander cards (mind you a scuffed version of commander you can only play 1v1 on a visual more appealing client that for some reason can’t do what your dated mtgo client can. I am genuinely mind blown by this) and cards that have been effectively pushed out of the current pioneer format… you can’t tell people we will get pioneer there via explorer while instead only giving us one or two viable cards in what will be a 20$ content drop. Hate to break to to you this will be a net negative monetization wise as only maybe a total of 4 cards will be playable in this. No one is paying for this just give the people the cards they want. The formats they want . I promise you the easiest money is on the table and for a company that loves making money this should be a no brainer for you. The easiest W possible is on the table so why take the faster L.

Disappointed with the cards chosen for ea3. This does not show an honest effort by WOTC to bring pioneer to arena in a timely manner. I've been waiting for personal favorites like Bring to Light for a long time, and this does not give me confidence pioneer staples will be available on arena any time soon.

I will not buy EA3, there isn't enough playables to justify the purchase.

With arena being the flagship service to play magic online, it makes no sense to not have competitive/popular pioneer cards exclusively in the anthology series.

At that point, we should be playing on MTGO

I love playing Arena even though it has a lot of improvement areas, especially in the gameplay. But this new Explorer Anthology makes me really want to uninstall the game and give up with the wish to play Pioneer in Arena. It seems a joke to me.

EA3 is simply horrible. If you want to kill explorer just do it, otherwise anthologies must to contain meaningful cards from pioneer.

I understand that you’re trying to wait for mechanics to come back before programming those cards, Delve cards for example. Then you also post articles about how developers are given extra free time to work on passion projects like emrakul. I find it had to believe no one has offered to knock out some of these pioneer cards with that time allotment. You guys appear to be lost in the weeds and are prioritizing non pioneer players. Just create a separate product for them.

I mean some AAA games get made in the amount of time it's taking to port the Pioneer format to Arena. It should honestly not take this long or be done this callously if you want to port even just the meta decks of the format.

EA 3 is actually a joke. Are you releasing parody anthologies now? Thanks so much for the sheild and a cycle of lands that don't get played in pioneer.

It is very, very disappointing that you continue to drag your feet in bringing Pioneer-playable cards to Arena, and an anthology like this containing one fringe playable card and a very average land instead of implementing the top 25/50/100 Pioneer cards that are missing to make nearly the entire meta playable is a complete slap in the face to your playerbase. I've stopped playing arena after EA2 took too long to come out and was also mostly a dud, and EA3 has confirmed that there is no real commitment at all from Wizards to getting Pioneer playable - we've been waiting *years* for this; and you continue to roll out Alchemy and other formats that nobody really cares about instead of just implementing the cards that are actually needed.

being able to play pioneer on arena would be a huge deal. This trickle of cards is way too slow.

Please we are asking for so little, we are only few cards from being able to play the paper format, it would be amazing if you could commit to having at least 10 playable staples in every anthology.

Please fix this, I want to play Pioneer in Arena.

It feels like the goals of ea3 are unknowable when there were so many easy ways to continue making explorer closer to pioneer.

Choosing to include these cards instead of competitive Pioneer cards like Treasure Cruise, Bring to Light or Thespian's Stage just shows that WotC doesn't care at all about actually bringing Explorer closer to Pioneer. There are entire decks that are extremely popular in the Pioneer metagame that are just missing a handful of cards to be playable in Explorer. It would be so, so easy to make this happen, it's honestly baffling that it's not being done.

It's kinda a slap in the face when wotc gives us cards like orzhov charm when the charms that's actually see play like boros or azorious aren't included . And the fact that they included 5 charms in the first place feels so ******* stupid
