Explorer Anthologies
Explorer Anthologies should mostly contain Pioneer playable cards. An inspirational list is attached:

Here's how much closer we got to Explorer looking like Pioneer with 25 whole cards:
1. Xenagos/Wurm win condition for your Creativity deck
2. You can put Prairie Stream in your UW Lay Down Arms deckObviously Wizards thinks we're pretty stupid or they just don't care. I've been defending Arena for a while but this is getting ridiculous.

Please made the EA3 worth it. The mediocrity of several chosen cards is disgusting.

Please add hidden strings, maybe a reprint in next set would be a good way to say sorry, and maybe make the set like 15k or something

Explorer anthology 3 is just offensive.

I recently switched to MTGO instead of Arena as my primary online platform because of this. I want to like Arena but the Explorer format just continues to disappoint. As a competitive player I don’t want to invest time and money unless I can actually build and play real Pioneer decks. I will not be putting any more money into Arena until Explorer is truly comparable to Pioneer. Right now it just isn’t, and this anthology did nothing to close that gap.

Don't worry, you guys will make enough money if all the cards are good. You won't run out of cards to release. Make these Anthologies count, 0 drop artifact, so silly - it undermines your public image with players. Stop focusing the quick buck and focus the long term health of the game - Paper AND Arena.

Explorer Anthology 3 is an incredibly disappointing product, using 25 cards to bring one fringe Pioneer archetype into the Explorer barn. Cold_Hellfire's list is a much better representation of what a good-faith list would look like if you are actually trying to bring Pioneer to Arena.

There's nothing more disappointing in this game this year than EA3...

Multiple pioneer decks are not playable missing only a few cards. I want to buy anthologies, but they have not been great overall. This new one though is the most frustrating they have been.

I was highly disappointed with EA3 and will not be purchasing it. I would like there to be explanations given for why cards were chosen because I don't see the role many of them play. I primarily play Explorer but am considering shifting more of my play over to MTGO if it doesn't start moving closer to Pioneer as a format.

If Wizards wants to push Arena (and Explorer) as a primary means of generating interest in competitive play, then Explorer Anthologies should be a means of porting more paper decks into digital. The fact that this Anthology enables 0 new Pioneer archetypes makes me question the purpose of these sets in the first place.

Was disappointed that I've been waiting this long for pioneer. Cancelled my commander masters preorders as a result. I know those sets are unrelated but this encouraged me to scale back my magic play and focus on other games for a while.

I'd love to play the same decks in Arena that I do in paper. I think you really should include the key cards to decks that you've released as Challenger decks.

it's so simple to add the most valuable cards of the format in three anthologies instead of 5 !

Pioneer is my favourite format and it's truly disappointing that we keep getting treated this way by the Arena client.
I can understand that it might takes 3-4 years to fully get the Arena client up to date with the entire Pioneer card pool but we shouldn't have to wait 3-4 years to get the current meta decks of 2022-2023. AE3 feels like some sick joke to antagonize the pioneer/explorer player base with half-cycles and off-meta cards.
At a minimum, at least explain the card choice selection with each anthology or provide us with a roadmap because it's becoming harder and harder to justify investing in the Arena client.

I just don't get what your problem with explorer is. You add so many cards to arena and yet you fail so miserably to turn explorer to pioneer in a resonable timeframe. I get that some cards need programming and new interfaces etc but stuff like sylvan caryatid is literally just a mana dork. What do you gain by dragging this on? It just makes you seem incompetent.

There’s making a bad product and then there is whatever this disgrace is.

I love playing Pioneer in paper but I have limited opportunities to play in person. Pioneer is my first constructed format and I really enjoy it. I purchased both the previous anthology and the Shadows Over Innistrad bundle with the express purpose of elevating my explorer play. I am extremely disappointed that EA3 is missing some very basic cards that would be essential to allowing for more deck archetypes to be introduced to explorer. Please make a more concerted effort to have real, meaningful, competitive pioneer become a reality on arena.
As a Lotus Field Combo player, it really hurts to see the art from my favorite deck’s namesake card get used as the “explorer” banner art in the app when I know the card has minimal utility in the explorer format.
Please do better.

Agree that the cards chosen for EA3 could have been much better selected. The exclusion of Boros Charm is particularly baffling.

I was hugely excited when I saw the initial announcement for EA3. As a big fan of the pioneer I have long awaited many of my favorite decks to come to explorer. Unfortunately this product is so far off the mark and feels like giant let down
