Nine lives multiple copy bug
I just played against someone who had two copies of nine lives on the board the card specifically says prevent damage and add a counter to nine lives. Each source I attack with should therefore add counters to BOTH copies, but it doesn’t it seems to let the player choose which one to add it to. I attacked with 6 creatures twice, this should add 12 counters to BOTH copies (and kill my opponent) NOT divide it and add 6 to each, which was what it did. This card particularly when paired with solemnity or harmless offering is EXTREMELY unfun to play against and should be banned in ALL formats anyway even without this bug, but with the bug it is completely unacceptable. If I have to face another match like this I will leave MTG arena.

No, not a bug, but how the game works. Since the first Nine Lives prevents the damage, the other has nothing to prevent and does not get counters. And yes, they get to choose for each source, which Nine Lives prevents the damage and gets counters.
