Up the Beanstalk does not recognize split cards mana values
Up the Beanstalk is in play, I cast Depose//Deploy , Up the Beanstalk doesn't trigger. Mana value for split cards are combined. Either side cast is Mana value 6. In case anyone is new, this rule was made when decks were using kari zev's expertise to cast breaking//entering because split cards use to be considered 2 different CMCs at the time. 202.3d The mana value of a split card not on the stack or of a fused split spell on the stack is
determined from the combined mana costs of its halves. Otherwise, while a split card is on the
stack, the mana value of the spell is determined by the mana cost of the half that was chosen to
be cast. See rule 709, “Split Cards.”709.3b While on the stack, only the characteristics of the half being cast exist. The other half’s
characteristics are treated as though they didn’t existSo, no, anywhere OTHER than the stack, you use the combined values, but ON THE STACK, you only get the value from the half that was cast.
