Reconfigure vs agatha's soul cauldron
Reconfigure abilities shared by agatha's soul cauldron cannot be activated. for example, exiling rabbit battery with agatha's soul cauldron and placing its counter onto blade of the oni grants blade of the oni reconfigure (R) but does not allow that ability to be used for that cost, only offering blade of the oni's own ability reconfigure (2BB) for activation. So I notice a few things here:
1) Agatha's Soul Cauldron has "Creatures you control with +1/+1 counters on them have all activated abilities of all creature cards exiled with Agatha’s Soul Cauldron."
2) All creatures with Reconfigure are of the Artifact Creature - Equipment [Creature-type]. The reverse is also true, all Artifact Creature - Equipment have Reconfigure.
3) Reconfigure is listed as the last thing on the card with its cost. The effect is listed prior, generally as "Equiped creature [gets/has] ..." or "Whenever [Card] or equipped creature ..."Overall I think the effects are thus:
1) While Agatha's Soul Cauldron can give Reconfigure to creatures with +1/+1 counters only, creatures that already have Reconfigure can use it.
2) Agatha's Soul Cauldron cannot give the abilities Reconfigure gave to the creatures they were equipped to as those abilities were both separate and passive.TL;DR: I think as far as Reconfigure is concerned all Agatha's Soul Cauldron can actually do is give new Reconfigure costs to the creatures that already have Reconfigure.
So in theory what OP did should allow Blade of the Oni to Reconfigure for 1 Red Mana but not give the equipped creature Haste. -

I have found this issue too. I’ve used Cloudsteed Kirin as the exiles card, and have found the reconfigure mana values to be much greater than 5. Sometimes it is 20, sometimes it’s 30.
