I have stopped playing daily, I maybe a play a match or two a week. I won't be checking this anymore for updates. Update us via email or something because fanbase is being lost.

A month ago I opened a ticket, they said they are on it and it's on the top of their bug list. Why does this take so long to fix?

Hi all, hopefully a wizard is reading this. I am a veteran from South Texas. I have a friend who is also a veteran, and we net in the service. Normally, we'd call and play magic (as we did with real cards in the service) and talk. We would check daily if it was fixed, but we stopped. Losing something so important like that is making me think of finding another game to grind out to try to beat my friend at. However, for our memories, I hope you fix the game. Let’s be honest,
Wizards isn’t gonna fix this. They’ve been ignoring it forever. Their game client must have an issue and as long as they keep making money they’re gonna leave it the way it is.

Worked! :-) for me Wednesday Dec 13 - two games via direct challenge from friends list - same player.
Both of us running Mac OS.
Installed new version today.

Day four of upvoting every single one of these related threads until WOTC deals with this incredibly annoying issue. It's been going on for at least 3 months now, and doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason as to who it effects and when. This has made our Arena playgroup extremely frustrated, and we'd all hoped the Khans release patch would fix it. Time to get this some more attention.

To this day, December 14th, IT STILL DOESN'T WORK!
YOU CAN'T PLAY MAGIC WITH YOUR FRIENDS!
We try it every single day and it never works!
They haven't fixed it in 2 MONTHS!
Of course in the meantime the store is always functioning.
And corrupt MTG YouTubers keep mum about it.

This has been affecting the game for weeks now. Have any developers reached out about this critical bug that prevents all form of direct challenge?

wotc how do you break such a important feature and not fix it for 2mo its 1v1 with a friend not rocket science

This is extremely frustrating....like what else can we do really besides stop playing. Well we don't have to stop really if we can't even play.

Direct Challenge never seems to work after update, and in general. Waiting for server. network errors, unable to submit deck. So sad and I really wish Wizards would focus on resolving this issue.

This needs fixed such a let down not being able to play against friends online!

I finally got my BF to play magic and now she and I are lucky to get to play a couple of matches every 3 days because of this bug. It just sucks...

When is this getting fixed? It was an intermittent problem before last update now it doesn’t work at all. Constantly get waiting for server unable to submit deck. It doesn’t matter who I try to challenge.

I got my friends into magic but now one them can't even play with us bc of this bug. This should be top priority to keep new players invested in the game and in your product. We don't play paper we are online friends.

Same problem, we've tried every solution we could find on the forums, reddit and across the web. There are thousands of people claiming this is an ongoing issue for over a year now. Can we get some type of update or information as to why this is such an issue WoTC? This doesn't seem like a complicated issue and it's seriously impacting a lot of people's enjoyment for the game.
