MTGA Client immediately running at 100% on a beefy desktop, makes the client very laggy/irresponsive.

On occasion (no predicting when, but it's consistent when it happens) the MTGA client runs at (or near) 100% CPU and demands a lot of memory. This makes the gameplay unbearable sluggish. I have done multiple reinstalls, which is not fun with a multi-GB on-startup update each time.
CPU usage is really through the roof compared to other processes, see attachment. And I have a high end gaming desktop that runs other games easily on ultra.

I made sure mtga client is running on GPU. I am on a HIGH end desktop. It has happened before on occassion, now it's every single time. Once that happens it also causes anything else I start to run at 100%.
I am on a high end Windows gaming desktop. See attachments.
I have invested in the game and it is currently unplayable.
