Thoughtseize needs to be banned
Thoughtseize is just too overpowered. There is nothing to respond with out the gate. The best protection from it (brainstorm) is banned. It doesn't have limitations like Duress. EVERY black deck runs 4 copies. Weaker cards have been banned, but nothing had been done to address Thoughtseize.

Thoughtseize is a card that is too high in power for a format like explorer.
All black decks have it in the main deck, almost never in the sideboard.
For one mana a turn one does too much, destroying the opponent's hand by taking away the best card in their curve and reveal the game plan, too much for one mana and two lives.
another problem with thoughtseize is that is good against aggro, midrange, control and combo, which shows that the card is too good and versatile.
I think that black players, which is very popular in explorer and standard due to its power needs nerfs, black players should use more specific discard cards with more weaknesses and take more risks.
A good example of this is Inquisiton of Kozilek which cannot discard anything of 4 or more, another is Duress which cannot discard creatures, thus, the players in black would have to choose well but Thoughtseize is too good in all situations and too strong for a format like Explorer always used in the main deck of any black player, for these reasons Thoughtseize should be banned in Explorer.
